what is really difficult in GT3?

What do you think is the challenge of GT3? After almost finishing the game (99%) I just got "the insane" thought of beating the Gold licenses in the S category.

It turned out these S license challenges are more difficult than the rest of the game (in my opinion). Ok, I agree you just feel like you're going to cry in the beginning of the game, but then you got a damn good car and the game just turns a boring rush for a percentage number!

Then when you are almost 100% you will start looking for cars, you have this feeling you have to own every single car in the game... you start a research on 1000 car list sites, find out none of them are equal, get depressed with no response for your car dream-list desires...

So you get yourself in front of the console, playing all the time... almost forgetting to eat and go to work just to repeat Amateur and Professional take-forever-to-end-series and get the cars you don't have based on your own self-perfect car list.

That's almost the end... you are now a little zumbi... go to sleep at 4am... waking up at 8am... you defeated the game in the percentage and you got all 183 cars in the game (as for my self-perfect-damn car list)... and start to figure out what's next!!!

Finally you decide to get all Golds in the S license and going against your expectations you find out these are real challenges, specially the Mazda license (number 3)... you get yourself hours of dedication in front of the console almost breaking it when you just get 1:52:284 of 1:52:200...

Life is beautiful... isn't it??

I will do that... now I can sleep ok :zombie:

As for the smiles, there is a link called "Get More Smiles" just below the 16 default smiles you can put in your messages... there are a lot over there!!! :bigeye:

The most difficult thing to do in GT3 is stay awake throughout 5+ laps at the Test Course. Running a very close second is maintaining interest while facing down 15-30 lap races in Professional League that are won easily through tire management and/or car selection. Third, finding the time to do a 2 hour endurance race (and more than just Rome and Trial Mountain last two hours).

5 laps of test track...try 25...later on in the game! And the last sewries race...30 laps a race 10 races and 78 laps on cote d'zure...thats an endurance race! They are pretty easy though, just need to figure out your pitting stragities!

i love to make a car powerslide.the old blue and white vette is great fun to play with.put around 600 horses and soft tires and turn all traction controll off.i love the way it brings itself back with just a touch.makes a great replay too.

I agree staying awake on the test course is the hardest thing, specialy for the "like the wind race", but actually if you do it in a slow car it does get a little interesting but if you dont pit it gets boring agian. :(

Finally... :zombie:

I am a bit emotional right now... please forgive my tears, I will tell you all a little story...

I was living in Silicon Valey (US) last year... that was the time I bought the PS2 with GT3. I had to return to Brazil since my company just got out of funds...

Then in october (last year), I started playing GT3... by that time
I got to 45% of the game but decided to start it over again (I just cleaned the memory card by accident).

In early december I decided to get married and then I put a challenge to myself "I am going to finish GT3 before the wedding day"... I've played GT3 like crazy... all nights, one or two series... I just got insane.

Now I got to tell you... tomorrow is the (wedding) day... and I feel like have defeated this challenge... for sure I already have 2 cars to get "GT40 Race Car" and "R390 Race Car" but... that's it...

Well... no more GT3 for a while... and hope this little romantic story may inspire the GT planet!!!

;)

IMO The hardest thing on the game is trying your hardest to stay awake through driving an MX-5 round apricot hill for 5 million laps.

Endurances pay out good money, but totally suck!

daz

Congrats Northflt on the completion of the game (I know I am not the only jealous gamer in here :) ) And congrats on the new marriage.

March 3, Austrailian Grand Prix :D

Bleah, ppl here are weird. @_@

neway, the hardest part for me used to be the corkscrew at Laguna Seca... however, i have now perfected it, and now find the hardest part of the game to be the Rally of the Alps II course... you practically have to memorize the whole *&#$ course, since half of it is shadowed!

Also, staying alive during endurance races is hard... one time, I entered the Rome Collowhatever without checking how long it is (2 hrs), and by the 17th lap my hands were going numb... I had to quit in the middle of it. :( (st00pid me)

When i started this game, i had a lot of trouble with the Time Trial on Complex String. Man was i glad i passed that trial

Now the hardest thing is to stay awake during Test Curse races.
20 laps on that track is a complete nightmare. 😈

Congratulations!!!!!! Have a lot of babies!!! And you can let them play Gran Turismo... maybe, 6 or 7.... imagine, GT7...COOL!!!! The hardest part of the game is..... yes i must agree GOLDS in S-licenses... but more than that it's the thought of playing the game without the excitement fading out from your blood.... Yes, sometimes, I get too bored.... I think the race tracks are not enough.. maybe they should add more courses.... more tracks.... and maybe more realism to the game... I hope I can expect that from GT4. and........ there's nothing wrong with getting too engrossed with the game....... me, i would sometimes spend the whole night until dawn playing the game....... I think that's the thing about being a HARDCORE GT fan! :P :P :P
