What is the best first car?

When I first got my PS2 it was about a week before I got a memory card because they were sold out.

Anyways, I started a game with the 128hp Miata and, like any beginner, the only mods I did were horsepower mods, and I still found the car quite manageable.

But before I got my memory card, I had started about 5-6 games and then just had to turn off the Ps2, but a few times I tried the Trueno and one of the first mods I did was some stage of turbo, and me and a friend who had started that game found it very hard to control, it was oversteering like mad whereas the Miata had no such problems.

Miata definately. (The one that can enter the 80's cup). You win that ugly truno apex thing and another miata, so sell them, race 1000 cr. at a time and get the camaro! Then boost it up, win the super speedway GRANTURISMO world cup and get 10,000. Then buy a Dodge viper or a Corvette and win them really easy in the STARS & STRIPES championship.

See? So much simpler!

well, for me i started out with the toyota Vits RS 1.5....but my cousin started with the Sprinter thueno GT. We ended out progresing at about the same rate. I also think that all these cars are about the same, it's just how good can you race the car you choose..!!

i do NOT think it is possible for a beginner* no GT/ GT2 exp* to just pick up the controller / wheel and begin driving like a pro whos been playing for a year..

and even the ppl that try for the perfect game concept *cuz they play for .. HOW long / day?? lol * do not get golds on their first try because its just way too hard..

I might start with the storia 4wd.... it sticks to the ground like nothin else in this catagory

unless ya hack of course.. which would then make the game totally pointless

Has to be the Trueno. Cheap to buy so you can put plenty of upgrades on to get you going quickly in the game.

Well, this is definitely a battle of Trueno vs Miata (Soft Top)

So, does anyone have the motivation to do a couple laps on Complex Circuit with each and see which one has the nest average time?

I have a feeling that the Miata would be marginally faster.

Come on people, reward the Miata's sleeper qualities and its awesome road racer nature.

I also believe that the Miata is much faster, when fully tuned, than the Trueno.

Prove me wrong somebody.....
