Why the hate aginst EA???
I used to love EA games, they had great graphics and some of the best gameplay around. Somewhere along the way, they lost thier touch, and grew too big.
The PC games they release generally have Zero support, and are as glitchy (if not more) than other companies. Patches are infrequent (if at all) and they rarely fix anything that you need.
Rather than Finish a game, they'll build it so that you have to download cars off thier website, so they can model at thier own pace. (N4S5
E is a great example. Cars were shadowed out, but not even in the game until you downloaded them)
SSX:Tricky on the Xbox has major Framerate issues when all the riders are bunched together (it shouldn't because the graphics are nothing too special.), and there are more than a few glitches in the gameplay that should have been tweaked. (And probably wouldn't have taken that long
)
F1 2001 for the X-box is another great example of a game that has a horrible frame rate. I have this on the PC (Don't even get me started on the problems I have with that version) and the Xbox is just a basic port of this version. The models are poor, the graphics are weak, and it deosn't run particularly smooth. I'd chalk it up to the system, or it being a poor port (X-box is just a scaled down PC, so it should port perfectly, and run silky at the lower resolution.) but I've seen what Project Gotham can do, and the Upcoming X-box Game called Wreckless.
So after tons of wasted money on thier products, I have decided to boycott all EA (Designed, not published. Maxis and a few other companies are still on my good list) games from here on out.
