I started with the Mx-5 and then went out and bought the Hyundai Tiburon as my second car (my car in real life). Used that them both all the way through beginner amateur and professional.

Suzuki Cappuccino.

Will make the beginning of the game mush more interesting.

I used the Mitsu 3000GT from the UCD. Very good handling, Good BHP, - Still have it in my garage for Nostalgia

The Level 0 Honda Civic and the later model Cappuccino are good to grind the early races and are race modifiable, which can extend their usefulness to mid level at least. Just be conservative when modding them since you will lose your original tuning parts spent on them when you get the race modded.

Honda civic from the new car place. modify it a bit then you will win all of the starter races you can do. very good at handling still have it in my garage.

I bought the 97 Type-R civic as a first car, its a premium model. I love that car!

Oh a fellow numan fan!

And yea I git one of those but put too much HP to start with, it would struggle in first gear.

Thats what I started with, and I thought this game sucks! Then I realised you accumulate credits so sold it!

I second this. But it wasnt my starter car in GT5, it was my second car in the game. I started with a Toyota Trueno A8E6.

I ended up getting the Supra 2.5 Twin Turbo for pretty much my first car. Thing is ****ing beast.
