im at level 25 and cant do such races as formulat gt, nascar,or historic racecar cup because i cant afford to spend 20MILLION on a friggin car for one race. how can i make the most of my time so that i can compete in those races? And have a chance.....

The nascar you can win in the Jeff Gordon special event, And I have heard somewhere in B-spec you can win a car for the historic racecar cup so I am unleashing bob on that. And Formula GT I am avoiding for now myself.

Also for making money/credits I have to go with the crowd and say the corvette zr1 rm was my best investment. I can breeze through the indy car event on american championship whenever I need to make a few credits to payoff buying silly cars in the Used Car Dealer.

The historic events can be won with a race modded 69' Camaro. They can be fully tuned for under 500k which is a heck of a lot better than 20 million.

And make sure to go run the Nascar seasonal event before changing the oil in the nascar you win for golding the Jeff Gordon Challenges too. An oil change puts it over the HP limit so you have to go buy another one to enter. Found that out the hard way.

You can win in Bspec a Toyota 7 Can-am car then fix the mid or Hi rev Turbo to this giving it 890 BHP I think.

You can win the Historic GT race,s with that but it is bloody hard to drive.

But there are some good set ups on this site for that car for those events.

Formula GT is a pain easy enough in Bspec tricky in Aspec using a DS3 pad.

Took ages to get the credits to buy it in the first place then on top of that it cost almost one mill to have the car fixed in the Garage mode.

Not done the FGT races yet with it been 6 races at 20 laps Apsec & Bspec is worse 30 laps + for some with tire ware rain & fuel usage.

Also beware of the last two races in B Spec make sure you are on the correct Tires.

In setting or else you will find you are on slicks in a wet race or wets in dry race.

Even the AI starts on the wrong rubber realy bad oversite there by PD beta testing.

But read through the set up forums most of this info is on there.

I thought I was be stuck on those events forever, too. ZR1 RM will be good for Like the Wind. You'll win the Toyota 88C, which will easily handle business in the GT All Stars event.

You should have a Countach from one of the earlier events that you can enter into the Historic Cup. It seems difficult but the AI seems too timid to pass a lot of times, especially on narrow Cote d Azure. Get in front and you will stay there, despite being disadvantaged.

You will win a NASCAR from the special events.

As for the FGT, well, I'm not too concerned about it at the moment. I've been buying cars and making tracks and just overall having a good time. Maybe later I will save up a few mil for it, but if you're getting annoyed, stop and do something fun.

Nascar is 500k from the dealership, no?

ZR1 RM on Amercian champ (Indy race) in Extreme, works out to be 120k every 4 minutes. Boring as hell, and you'll likely not be able to make rights turns for a while, but it is the quickest IMO.

thanks guys youve been awsome help. btw that race modded 69 is FU(k!N SICK!!!

haha and exploiting the birthday feature is a good idea. ur right unethical but who cares. its better than grinding for credits all the time. and its not too bad as long as you dont do it every day hahaha

Welcome to the club. You must use slipstream to get back to the first place. But i have problem with AI which bumps into me after 5-7 laps and my car is eventualy turned into opposite direction, which ends any chances for winning the race.

I use a turbo'd and tuned Chapparel 2D with soft tyres on the american championship oval race. 5 laps and wins easily. 117k for about 4mins grinding. Kerching!

One good way to make money is doing the Dream car championship (lvl 24) ...

108.000 credits pr race and 540.000 when you win the championship, combined 1.080.000 credits for roughly 1,2 hour gameplay A.spec and the same for 1,6 hour gameplay in B.spec.

May be faster ways to earn some cash but I prefer this one because I hate grinding the same track over and over ...

i use my lambo lp560 or opel speedster on the european extreme race @ deep forest. 99,000 cr for 5 laps of fun drifting.

A-Spec Extreme DTM event - Nordschlieffe race - 99,000 creds for a single lap of the Nurb Nord - in the Mercedes DTM car it takes just 7 minutes, and is a real joy to drive - plus you get more and more familiar with the Ring...

ya i use slipstream and i stay right behind them and even catch up to them comming into the turn and still i stay behind them but for some reason they allways exit the corner faster than me, despite the fact that i have my foot to the floor and im right behind them... i dont get it.

where do i get that dtm car? is it a used car?

In the American championship use a tuned corvette ZR-1 race modded. 117k for 3:45 or so. I did this about 20 times in a row to get the cash for the Formula GT which popped up after I spent over a million on different RUF's. I paid the piper for that one :)

Do you have all the assists off? I did it first try with everything off, especially ASM cause it slows you down like a B****

Block like a sonuvagun. I've heard some people will drive as low as possible on the straights to keep the competition from drafting you. I managed to beat it with some seriously dirty blocking.

what do you mean it popped up? is it one of the prizes for a trophy?

i always drive with all the assists off. i think i might just have to try that dirty blocking like that one guy suggested.

I got gold first try by blocking. On subsequent retries I also found that being second on the last lap by being right up the back of first place AI until the 2nd last or last corner and just powering across the line usually does it too.

Trick is not to get the lead because the other cars draft you and get a better top speed. Just stay with the pack in 2nd or 3rd place for 6 laps. Make your move on the 7th and final lap... It's nerve racking for 6 laps but I've found this to be a reliable way to win. It's still difficult though...

Car setup can also help so you maintain a decent speed through corners without braking.
