I don't remember any GT that you could buy a GTR right away, unless you mean by transferring GT3 or GT4P credits over.

Seeing as we can allegedly transfer cars and credits from GT5, I think I might be spoilt for choice. With GT4 and the extra credits from GT3, my first car was the Mercedes 190E Evo .
I'll just go for whatever looks interesting, like the Lotus Carlton from GT4.
