I must say that so far, the tuning screenshots look pretty dismal.

They are dumbed down, boring looking, and provide you no real data from which to adjust your settings. (inside/outside/middle tire temps to adjust camber, for example).

I was hoping though, that PD realised that the available spring rates weren't as agressive as many race cars use. For example, the Realtime Racing TSX that runs the World Challenge Series in the US runs rear spring rates that approach 3000 lb/in, or 54kg/mm. This is very high for a production-based race car, but spring rates of even 1500 lb/in (27 kg/mm) are very common and if I remember correctly, GT settings do not allow you to get that high.

Has anyone checked?

One nice thing is that now with bumpy tracks, there is actually such thing as springs or dampers that are too stiff.

I Am Sorry To Say They Did A Lousy Job.

Were you born this much of a pain in the A**, or did you have to practice real hard?

These people are all asking or raising valid points that deserve a resonable answer.

If you knwo that answer then posts it, if you don't know the answer then you may wish to add to the post.

However all you seem to be able to do is dismiss GT4 out of hand; now while everyone is entitled to an opinion, if you are going to raise negative points then at least try and put some detail into it.

Any fool can just post "its a c**p game, PD are c**p, etc", it takes a lot more effort (and a degree of intellegence) to post something constructive (be it posative or negative).

Why don't you give it a go.

Don't yet have GT4 so can't give you the info you are after; but do agree that the widest possiable range of setting would be great.

Also, spot on with the fact that now we have tracks that will cause problems for car with to stiff spring/damper settings.

With regard to the tyre temp issue, I thing it a bit beyong the current ability of the PS2 to include such a wide range; be nice for GT5 however, as I have always found it handy in GPL.

I assume GT4 uses wheel rates that already went through the installation ratio in the setup screen while the data you have is on the spring rates only.
