What is the quickest way to get the first copy's of GT4 when released?

I pre-ordered my copy of GT4 right after GT4: Prologue was released at CD WOW. Then it costed € 46.99 I believe and nowadays it's € 51.99. So what I lost in interest I made up with the € 5,- I saved :)
 
Have they not heard of supply and demand in the US?

- I live in one of Britains largest cities and i've never had the slightest bit of trouble buying a much anticipated new game on the day of release! :confused:

- I would, however, try to reserve a copy at your nearest store or pre-order it online if you have doubts that your local stores will sell out before you can get your hands on a copy. 👍
 
I pre-oredered mine off Play about this time last year. When I got GT4: P off there, it arrived the day before it was due to be released. I'm hoping the same thing will happen this time.
 
I preordered GTA:SA from Amazon using the "slow" super saver delivery option... I got the game for £29.99 (A tenner less) and I also received it in the post on the friday that it was released...

One of my friends also preordered from Amazon (also £29.99) and paid £3.50 for 1st class post and also received it on the release day.

One of my other friends went and bought SA from the shops on the release day and paid £39.99 for it.

I got the best deal and we all got it on the same day... I'm hoping Amazon pull off another great shipping marvel with GT4... but even if they don't I'll have probably forgotten what day it's coming until it arrives... and/or the day will be changed anyways!

PS Also Amazon take the money from the Credit Card when they dispatch the game... so no interest lost there either!!
 
I reserved my copy of GT4 when I went to pick up the vert stand for the new ps2 (effing tiny!) but I'll probobly take the day off when they get a definate date.. and the two days after that... then I won't leave my room.. lol thinkin bout getting a DFP but i'm not sure if i really want to waste $150

you just need to know the guy in the store where i live, he was chucking x boxes out at 12 midnight on day of release, he shifted loads of em an bought an slk merc with profits from that an games.

i always go there for games, i will be lookin to pick up my copy of gt4 on the wednesday 23rd feb, they get the games in a couple of days before the release to set up window displays etc an just stick em on the shelf, i got gt2, gt3, concept and prologue, gtasa, toca rd2 and a few others 2 days early, cos there not official sony dealer or something, not tied to contracts etc? i dunno, i aint complainin?

Not neccessarily, it depends upon where the copy comes from and who else has ordered it as well (ie if they distribute from Town 1 and you live in Town 2 but somene ordered from Town 3 - halfway between you and Town 1 - then it's likely that the closer pserson would get it first because the game doesn't have to be sent as far).

Same here, I pre-ordered GT4 on June 20, 2004 at Gamestop. I already paid off the game ($53.00) and i have the little stub they give you so for sure I will be able to walk in and get it...cuz if not then there will be hell to pay!!!! so I guess you should reserve it now before its too late. But hey its up to you if you want to take your chance and go the day it comes out or pre-order it. Beleive me everyone knows what they are talking about here so I mean do take some of the advice. :) GOOD LUCK!!!!!
 
hey stune, do you think its worth getting the drving force pro with gt4 as well, from the web site u directed us too? just wondering if it will take longer if i do pre-order
 
Here in the states.. Target store releases games on their exact release dates at 8am day of.. so go hit up your most obscure Target store and sit at the doors in the morning and run in and grab it.. This is what i'll be doing.. That's how I got the Nintendo DS on release day as well. there was about 8 people waiting at the doors for em.. not bad. =)

did you get it with a stearing wheel aswell or not in the end? I would have thought you would still get it one day early but im not sure about that
 
na, i didnt dont have that money at the mo, but i will do shortly, so did when u orderd of gameplay in the past have the games always come b4 the release date or there delivery date???
