I completly agree with the TT being one of the worste handling cars in the game, along with that i'd add the Vertigo, and the Speed 6. The Speed 6 is attrocious unless you have TCS on, but I don't enjoy races with TCS.

im surprised the RGT has so much understeer surely that has to be a flaw on the part of the polyphony programmers? Aren't porsches notorious for oversteer? whenever i'm doing TT10, the ruf is plowing the corner understeer-style and when i let of it starts settling down instead of the tail whipping out. which is a really strange thing for a rear engined car to be doing isnt it? unless RUF have decided to weld several pieces of lead to the front section of that car, there's something wrong there.

i'm not sure if it was you sage, but if it was you who suggested i try the boxster (on a different thread) then full marks to you man, i've now bought one and added it to my garage permanently :D now i can do the roadster races in a car i enjoy heh.

oh and as for worst handling, i know this wont be popular but i hate the toyota gt1 road car at full mods. its just too precise and gives me nothing but hassle on street circuits.

Why? I ask myself why??

It was too easy to drive in GT2. Now, there's easy, but slow. But Easy + Fastest = SuzukiEscudoCheatMachine. I haven't driven it in GT3 (only 1 million credits this time?), but I'm glad it's been noted as impossible to drive.

you also get it if you win all the rally races, and i bought it JUST to do the wheelie trick, its horrendously bad even in rallies so i'd rather just use an evo 7 and win the races fair and square... though the ctr2 isn't bad in rallies (well i think so anyway)

I think that with propper tuning of the suspension many of the cars mentioned here can be made to handle very well.

But I would have to say that anything front wheel drive are the worst cars, except for the Xsara Rally Car.

For anything FR I would have to go with the Lister Storm.

For MR, The Opel Speedster or the MR-2 and yeah, the Escudo.

For RR, well the RUF cars are a difficult thing to tune well, but when they are tuned well, they are beasts!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Shelby Cobra or the Lotus Esprit 330(sp?). Granted, the Cobra is awesome and all, but the thing can't turn at all and sucks up even medium tires in a few laps. Although, it could have been the way I had it setup, I didn't like how it handled.

The Esprit is just too darn powerful with all mods and tends to spin out very easily.

Obviously, the worst handling car in the game is the PT Cruiser.

the question is worst handling car, not truck! :p

the PT looks sic but it is still a truck.

I started with one once, its not a bad starters car :)

the vertigo... the speed six.... come on... well vertigo without tcs is tricky.... but speed six is fantastic...

someone said that the speedster is bad... i would have to dissagree it handles like a dream... it and mrs then nsx and mr2 in mr cars... i am probably missing some other mr cars in between but doesnt matter... i dont think there is a poor handling mr in hte game besides the zonda... not discussing race car versions...

for 4wd it is definitely hte escudo...

i think some people are confusing handling with the cars level of goodness...

while the pt cruiser is an abomination it doesnt handle anywhere near as bad as the escudo...

matrix... botht he cars you mentioned are fantastic cars as well... if you are having dificulty driving with top mods... unload the car or adjust your suspension and sriving techniques... i find many of the cars listed here are my favorites to drift and race with...

dont base your opinions upon driving a car only several times...

for the longest time i thought the ctr sucked monkey balls as someone else said... but it just requires consideration of its grip... and the difficulty of loosening hte tires for tight turns... its dam fast tho on rally tracks

I agree with you there and I do have to admit that I judged the Opel Speedster only after trying to do many a 10 lap pro race at Seattle reverse for a competition. So I ammend my earlier statement to: the Speedster really sucks at Seattle Circut.

But I really think that the greatest contributing factor to most everyones troubles with the cars is the lack of propper tuning. Wouldn't you have to agree?
I'm a fairly decent tuner and I think that I can get just about anything, except for the cars that I mentioned in my earlier post to perform reasonably well.

As for the Vertigo, that is probably the best handling car in the game hands down.

I still laugh at the gyus thinking that the escudo drives badly. well, it does, but if you tune it wel, you can turn it into a beauty. yeah, it'll still go too darned fast and hard, but that is when fun come in, trying to control it. when it is properly set, the escudo can be a real performer, turn well for a thing that has 1800 horses, and slap yer competition, whatever it is, on the wall. as for the porsches, well, yeah, they are a nightmare... a pretty cool lookingone, but still difficult to do something so they can corner... but alas, they arent that much bad as, 1: the lotus spirits. that car just CANT be done to corner. impossible. and 2: the alfa romeo. that one is also an impossible car to make turns.

Cano

Yeah Cano, I would have to agree with you on the Alpha, it's second only to the Acura CL Type-S for poor handling characteristics. I've tried and tried to make that car perform, but to no avail.

yes, I remember putting as much camber I could on the tires, and doing everything else in a dam,ned excess... upwards or backwards... and nothing, NITHING can make that car turn.

Cano

I remember that even on replays, you can see how the tires stick out of the car SO much!

Yeah, Cano, I did say that they handle crap without some proper tuning...;) But still, with the same tuning you can probably get about twice as better handling out of a different car...

The RGT didn't have any understeer for me...well, I ran it at 596 bhp for 100 laps at CS, so I think I can judge this car quite well...;)

That's why I mentioned that I probably did not have the car set up right. I haven't really touched GT3 since I got 100% sometime last year though. I try not to do what you have mentioned(judging a car after driving it once or twice).

eek 100@CS :D i heard about that, u must have a lot of free time... heh. as for the RGT, i have mixed feelings, i stick by my statement that it has too much understeer for my liking and also the fact that it takes IMMENSE effort to swing the back out. porsches are know for their tails sliding out when u let off or floor it in a corner due to all the weight of the car being transferred onto the back right? unless RUF managed to fix that problem.... :/ which i doubt
