What is USS?

I have been running in Daytona rooms lately and been hearing about these USS guys. People say they run 50 plus laps without pitting and are running 38 sec laps in a strong draft room. Is this possible? The best I can do is 32 laps and maybe low 39 sec lap times on a good day. Have they found a glitch in the game? Or are these Anchor and Dolphin guys a myth?

If they're hooked up, and can stay hooked up, I reckon it is very plausible. The draft also helps you conserve fuel, which is more of a worry than the tires falling apart. A Search would've also found what you're after 👍
 
I have seen people who can regularly run 50 laps at a time, and I've seen people who can easily run 38 second lap times.

It probably is possible to do both at once with the right tune and patience.

Who's to say USS doesn't stand for United States Steel? In this instance I think it makes more sense than Ship.
 
You could also make a case for "United Slip Streamers"...👍
 
I wonder what kind of cars they are running. I have a Dodge Viper GTS with over 1,000 horsepower and running soft racing tires and every possible performance modification. With no draft help, I can easily run low-42s all day long.

I've tried with the X2010, but I don't remember my lap times. I'm sure it would be just a bit better due to better aerodynamics.
 
Yes it is the United Sons of Speed. We are just a group of guys who have ran together since Prolouge. We do run the high line and we do run in the 38 sec group as do many other racers out there. Everybody wins and gets beaten at Daytona, the object is to have good clean fast runs and have a good time doing it. Speed Funk all I can say is just hang in there an race all you can and just tinker with your car. As you say you run 39's and 32 laps you are headed in the right direction. Will look for you on the track.
