What do you normally drive like? I do a combonation of grip/drift. My car has enough power in the rear to slide out of corners easily and it lets me shave off a little bit of time. I also drive like a bat out of hell.

While there is nothing wrong with this thread, I am sure it will be closed on you.

We have tons of threads like this one and I am sure the mods will get you on this one.

Welcome to GTP and I drive grip BTW.

My drive style is the both (drift and grip), now I am using a toyota trueno with some horse power (260 hp, I am playing this in GT2), and I don't have very horse power to drift in hairpins, but I drift in the other curves.

Sorry about that... My driving style is "getting around the track as fast as possible without removing myself from the confines of it". Probably more "grip" than "drift", whatever that means.

Grip. Drift is for people without ambitions.
What did that mass of letters and numbers and symbols actually say famine?
I got the MAD_______________YO

Sorry... residue from miata13b's Test Forum thread...

I meant to say "Mad tyte gripping style y0!" but I put too many "i"s in gripping... :D

i like diving with grip because its more realisic racing, and its how you race professionally. I only drift when im not actually racing, like when ive just gotten a new car and im playin around with it

I drive with grip. Always.
But I have to admit that sometimes, when I'm close to loose control, and the car starts to "drift" a corner, I find it very entertaining. But when it comes to real drifting, I have no skills at all. :)

i can drift and i can grip. I drift for fun/something else to do. I grip for racing and beating my times etc

I prefer the floating above the tarmac approach

Drifting has become a thing of the past for road courses. Now more focus is put on Tire life, as to not pit as much and as least as possible.

Rally is a different story! Drift all the way! So much fun!

Right now, since I'm so focused on trying to improve my sliding ability, I drift. But when it comes down to racing someone, grip is the way for me.

i love challenges, and grip racing is waaayyy to easy and basic, so i always drift, i keep it sideways even in the straights... drifting is more of a challenge and it is definetly something that takes time to master....grip is just, brake, off gas, apex, full throttle out, very boring

You mean "I'm too slow to keep up with the fast drivers, so instead I prefer to showboat"

Please note all you "drifters" that this is not a slur on drifting, merely a slur on the user that wrote the words of "wisdom" above.

Dude, grip racing is not easy. Maybe against the AI it is but against the real drivers on these forums it is not easy at all. I love both grip and drift and both are equally challenging.

Please demonstrate by using the correct forum grammar, like "i" do. Amongst other things, usage of abbreviated words ("u") is specifically prohibited on this site.

I don't actually care what you can or can't do, or how it compares to me since I am not one of the "fast drivers" I alluded to previously. Even slightly. But saying "grip racing is easy" just marks you out as a nob - if it's so easy, why aren't you the fastest GT3 driver on the planet? I don't think you can outlap Arco or big p. Or jmr. Or IForceV8. Or Max E. Or Mr. P. Or Megabyte. Or sukerkin. Or bobkart. And the list goes on (and on and on).

But hey, you continue to "lay your smack down". Go you!

No-one can take on famine at flaming for two reasons,
1) he is just too good
2) Many mods and those of lesser form, have great respect for Famine, so anyone who takes him on, and goes too far, usually gets banned.

yeah.....theres always gotta be someone who "knows ****" oh well.

i never sed i could beat the fastest grip racers on this site, im just saying, to me, grip racing isnt as much a challenge as drift is..thats all i wuz saying.

oh 'n famine, yo dogg sawry 'boot tha
sp'ling errorz, i'll try ta type morre suphisticatedly 4 u next'ime;)
