What is your favorite 2010 Formula One team?

  • Total voters
    54
Mercedes have a bit more character but have been pretty disappointing. Guess no major Schumacher fans have voted yet and Rosberg seems to be distinctly left alone by the fans - people don't praise or criticise him very often.
Don't worry, I've also been following Rosberg closely this season and I think he has performed quite well despite the car not being all that good. I just like Kubica's aggressive driving style more. ;)

The only two teams to not get a vote yet are Mercedes GP Petronas and Scuderia Torro Rosso. Well anyone vote for them? I know Schumacher has expired a bit, but Rosburg is still a very good driver. And sure STR has been a bit blah since Vettel got sent up to the Red Bull "A" Team, but they're still lovable.

Not while Franz "attack my drivers" Tost is still there. Maybe when Gerhard Berger was in charge.

Apart from the Shangai incident for Buemi, STR are very rarley in the limelight anymore, the was all this fuss caused about Alguesuari's age. But this year the media doesn't seem to pay attention when they either have a really strong result or if they do terrible.

It's a shame as I used to like the team, like Ardius says, when Gehard Berger there. Nowadays it's seems a bit tepid there, the two drivers seem amicable but don't really sound very passionate.

I never was the fan of a team so I won't vote. If I did, I would probably go for Ferrari, there's something about that team and those red cars that is evocative of all F1 is and was, from the man Enzo himself, to the legendary drivers from all eras. Triumphs / Tragedies / Angels / Demons /Outstanding Achievements / Foul Deeds ... you have it all, and from Italy, something that gives this team that litle bit of "extra" interest.

Anyway, as I said I am not a team-fan, and many times before I wished Ferrari to lose just because I was rooting for another driver, so I'll move on and say that if this poll was about drivers, and we could cast multiple votes, my votes would be (in order of lilkelyhood to be WDC this year):

1. Mark Webber
2. Jenson Button
3. Rubens Barrichelo
4. Kamui Kobayashi

I don't have a definite favourite, but I can find good points for all:

Red Bull: Vettel is an obvious good point for me. Plus the engineering on the car is sublime and the leap in performance over the past 18 months is quite remarkable.

McLaren: Don't like either of the drivers but the car is very shiny!

Ferrari: Don't like either of the drivers but I've got a lot of respect for the teams previous achievements, even if some of their motives were a bit questionable.

Mercedes: Nico is a cool guy, I stare in awe at the sight of Schumacher and the car is hot!

Renault: Kubica is driving his socks off in a car that keeps on improving and challenging the frontrunners.

Force India: An amazing leap in performance from the dog of a team they were in '08. It feels like they finally got to grips with the Formula 1 world.

BMW Sauber. Kamui Kobayashi. That is all.

Williams: A good team with good drivers, though in their current form it is easy to forget their considerable previous achievements.

Toro Rosso: The team has gone massively downhill since Vettel left but the drivers' potential is finally starting to come through.

Lotus: The car is hot.

Virgin: The car is hot and the name is the butt of many jokes!

Hispania: Both drivers are very funny in a team that doesn't give up and has a comical attitude very reminiscent of Jordan Grand Prix.

Schumacher did. I think Alonso is the same.

I think they think alike (Michael and Alonso). They like to see the big picture rather than just the moment. Unlike A. Senna a true racer strait from the heart.

Don't blame Alonso for what Ferrari did, no racer wants to win that way.

C'mon man he's been all over the media saying what a great feeling it was without even acknowledging Massa's existence, never mind his sacrifice.

Alonso said "A win is a win, regardless of how it is gained" when asked if he didn't consider Singapore 2008 as a victory.
Massa moving out of the way is nothing compared to that, I think its safe to say Alonso doesn't care how he wins at all.

I've been thinking of how much Massa must hate Alonso after Singapore 08, now this week coupled with the incidents throughout this season. That could turn sour VERY quickly.

EVEN Schumacher put Rubens on the top step of the podium and gave him the trophy.... Alonso is so far up his own ass he can see out of his own mouth. A very talented driver all the same.

The Senna that crashed Prost out at Suzuka?

Didn't Ferrari get fined $500,000 not for the team orders (because that rule wasn't implemented yet) but for the incorrect podium procedure (1st place driver on top step, etc.)?

$1,000,000

edit: It was actually $500,000 and then $500,000 for the podium.
