What is your most frustrating GT5 moment?

I was doing the Indy 500 today and paused it and turned off the TV because I had to do something. When I came back a few hours later, I found it had become unpaused and i was stopped in the infield. Needless to say, I was not happy. It could've been worse however.
 
so far the new seasonals.. lost by a couple seconds in those and cursed a tonne because it's such a waste of time attempting them again just to get 2nd again with no prize...

broke my controller, and then put it back together D:

I also had a moment in an endurance where I could have sworn I paused but came back and the race was still running. Luckily I had installed a low rpm turbo so I had enough power to re-obtain first so it wasn't really frustrating.. just kind of worrying momentarily.

other things would be.. some of the special events have driven me crazy and I haven't even attempted the licenses because I want all the cars with low km first - and I feel like events like these that waste time and give little or no prizes are annoying because in the back of my mind there;s that feeling of "I could have made 4 million credits by now"

Btw can I disable that thing? I've definately lost time and have crashed because of it.

24 hour Nurburgring in B Spec that froze after race done--no credit. Just did it again and it finished tonight just fine (run endos when signed out of PSN!). Got a shiny, worthless F2010 in the garage for it. Oh, and another tough trophy.
 
Doing an endurance, pausing for a break, thinking I'd pressed resume and the cursor was actually over cancel.... which it did, with no warning or need for confirmation.....

Most of my frustration came from license tests. There were always 1 or 2 in each class that I just could not gold. And some early B-Spec races were a nuisance as well.
 
I'm a patient guy, so nothing has really frustrated me yet... Although the Vettel Challenge and the Fiat seasonal are pretty damn annoying.
 
Going for gold on a license and misising by 0.001 sec 3 times on the trot. It was that one with a Megane at Tsukuba.

Then it turns out there's a cheat for it anyway, not that I would've used it personally.
 
The Elise special event (top gear test track). After an hour or so of trying, I finally had it beat and I spun out and off on the FINAL turn.

It took me another hour or so before I was prepared to win again, and again I spun out and off on the FINAL turn. I was ready so smash everything at that point....
 
I was on the last event of the FGT series (I had skipped Monza due to rain (would've taken ages)
I had just gotten on to the 2nd to last lap with hardly any fuel left thinking I could make it..
I thought wrong, Half way round the lap my fuel ran out & I was strolling round at 50..
2nd was catching up ever so quickly I needed to win though because I skipped.
I got to the pits put in 4 litres of fuel & new tires (enough for the last lap)
2nd passed me while I was in the pits.
I had to gain about 5-10 secs to get up to him & then had to pass him.
I went round the outside of the last part of the chicane to JUST get the win.
I was rather excited to get the win as 2nd would've made me 2nd in the championship meaning I'd have to repeat it all over again.

I guess it doesn't class as being frustrating but if I hadn't managed to get in front it would've been frustrating
 
These days spent in golding Vettel challenge...... the worst, but after all I did it.

I find frustrating, now:
- starting hotlaps with cold tires
- the engine overhaul
- the PP system not counting tires
- the data analyzer
- the slowness of the museum
 
Being on the 194th lap out of a 200 lap endurance, driving for 4 hours. Paused to go to the bathroom, came back and instead of hitting the resume button, I hit restart (this was before they had the dialoge box making sure you wanted to restart). I about died.

You couldn't hold it for 6 more laps?
 
I brought GT5 on day one it hit the game shop and I played it until last nite for 1 hour+ everyday almost and I turned it on today,my saved file is gone.
The most frustrating thing is going to be starting all over again.. Sigh..
 
The Fiat 500. I don't understand how this is possible, but I am always 55-60 seconds behind (I have tried it several times too...sigh...)! One time I passed a few cars on the first lap and still ended up a minute behind. It's like I hit the 7th place spot and a wall keeps me back!:scared:

Other than that, I was taking my McLaren F1 out last night, and it was completely off. I entered GT World Championship race (I think that's what it is called) for an easy win and I had no control...just bumping off walls. I wasn't too thrilled. Eventually it corrected itself, but I had to endure the look of "Wow...your pretty bad at this game...I thought you were better" from my wife until it corrected itself.

Agree agree agree... except the museum thing :D
 
Am I the only one who hasn't been able to yet Gold the Mercedez AMG challenges, but has done everything else GOLD, including licenses, Toscana, Eiger, A-Spec, FGT, F1 seasonal races, (except for Vettel, but has silver in 2/3)

The AMG special is very very frustrating, 72 some odd turns on the Nür, always to come in 3s behind! in the rain! AAAAHHH! Still my top 2 favorite tracks in game. 2nd place is tied with many others.

you need to re-start the way you drive, it's not an Edmonton mall rollercoaster! haha

What are you driving with the brake pedal stuck on? Driving stuck in 1st gear? Riding in the passenger seat while your Grandmother drives the Fiat?

Jesus it's not even CLOSE to being that hard.
 
When i was trying to gold the Vettel challenge in Suzuka - it took me 4 bloody hours but i did it....
the rest was easy
 
Sometimes it's frustrating to read about the misfortune of the others :D

But as for my experiences, I can only say 4 words: Jeff Gordon NASCAR School. The worst special event that can ever be made up...
 
Was racing with friends today online. LMP's at Le Mans 15 laps. On the last lap I ran out of fuel because I didn't put enough in during my pitstop. :p I was in 2nd but dropped to 4th.
