1996 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe

This one to be exact....

Mid-life-kind-of-obtainable - early NSX hands down. Monza Red(Black, White or Monte Carlo Blue would do aswell), blacktop.

Other than that, an MX-5, S2000, Impreza, 330i, Classic Mini, 205 GTi and the like...

One of these

I'll buy it with the 40k and use the rest for gas.

Or I'll take a used '13 GT500, a used Challenger or 300C SRT8.

Even though I'd loooove a CTS-V wagon, I couldn't really justify the need for it nor take any other car out of the dream list with it. Maybe by the time I get married I can convince my wife to get one :dopey:

After having grown up with Need For Speed and The Fast and The Furious, I would have to say something like an RX-7, a Supra, an R34 Skyline or even an Integra. You can pick one of those up from between $13000 - $25000. Very tempting:drool:

Another obtainable car I'd like is an E63 AMG, with the 6.2. There's one on eBay for $38,999 (£25,126.59) that I really like with just over 15,000 miles. It's an '07.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X GSR (CZ4A), or Honda Civic Type R (FD2). I'm a big fan of Honda in general and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution line. Though what I'd really love to have is a Honda NSX (doesn't matter which one, any of the NA1 or NA2 models :D), I'd prefer something that's practical and sporty at the same time. :)

;) All about knowing your cars. The Blitz Skyline was a GT-T (I think) and was never converted from an R34 GT-R into a RWD. Who would do that? I could only understand if you wanted the motor from a demolished GT-R, and/or you were Amuse building the showcase for the R1 exhaust.

Nissan Skyline Gtr R-34

Would buy one of these when i get a license and earn money they're not that expensive they're cheaper than brand new cars but they'll arrive in Canada around 2014 i probably have a license and some cash by them. This car is so awesome though.

They won't be legal in Canada until 2014, I've heard. Aren't they from 1999-2002? You'll only be able to get the oldest examples (i.e., you won't get the Spec Nür etc.)

They say the first ones will come sometime this year but I'm planning on getting the V Spec not the Nur because of it's price the Nur cost about 20,000 more i think and i don't want a daily driver that eats up too much gas.

So, get a GT-T? Honestly, 4WD is bad on gas, unless you plan on using the AWD for some reason.

No not the GT-T rather a stock or not so much modified AWD. The GT-Ts suck and i can get one right now if i wanted to but they just look plain ugly for me. The gas eaters i'm talking about are the Nurs that are available to buy right now ( or what i have found for sale in other countries ) all of them are highly modified and are guaranteed to eat gas i just want a GTR that has around 450-500 Horses

Pretty sure a R34 GT-R has AWD for a reason.

That reason would be performance numbers. I'd rather have a RWD car over an AWD most any day simply because of the more involved nature of the driving and less "computery" feeling.

Canada's legal law: "must wait 15 years before importing car"

Yes, but, if he wants a daily driver...

The Gtr was made purely for racing. They have used AWD since the first gen i think. It gives you more grip :D

Performance is mainly irrelevant.

Also, the first generation of Skyline GT-R?

That's the one I saw in real life recently, definitely not AWD.

I said i think. Oh well but if this thread was any dream car it would be that Skyline 2000 GT absolutely love it problem is it is very rare and pricy. And i think AWD is not a problem my parents have a CRV which is AWD and i've tried it and it handles ok.

Really?

Yeah, a lightweight RWD for me too... although I did choose the V8 Vantage for this thread...

... a GT-R would be fine. If you've got the cash for a R34, you've got the cash for petrol.

I'm going to be in the minority here and say that I'm seriously looking into getting a 2ZZ MR2 Spyder. Always loved it since it came out, and ever since I saw the Techno Pro Spirits MR-S kicking butt on Best Motoring my interest for it solidified. Actually drove one at an MR2 meet, and damn, till this day I'm baffled as to why Toyota never offered it with a 2ZZ from the factory. Around 5K for the car, add a few more grand for the engine and 6-speed transmission.

NSX is another one, '97 or above, whichever years they began offering the 3.2 engine. Last I checked they're at least 30K in good condition.

Nsxs are very rare as well as MR2 well here in Vancouver i'm not sure about other countries, provinces and i've only seen 2 NSXs in my whole life .
