I passed the 100,000 mile mark last night.
After looking through my friend’s mileage on Gran-Turismo.com I thought that was kind of an accomplishment. Only a couple have more miles, but they are the hard core gamer types – 60 gold, 100%/100% guys.
I haven’t played the “game” since they added the 200% bonuses. I hate racing the robots and only did to finance my online racing.
Yeah quit an accomplishment, until I see all these posts before mine with a lot more miles – posted a year and half ago.

Probably a lot more than you, but seeing as I only ever race online & it doesn't count that, we'll never know.

I actually just put your theory to the test by running a quick 2 lap online race @ Nurb GP/F and you sir..are wrong.

Make that, 105,814.1 miles raced. ;-)

It depends on what you count as racing, running in a free run online to compete for the best lap for example doesn't get counted towards miles driven, unless I'm remembering incorrectly or they changed it. Even if it does... 93,764.9 and I also lost a lot (50,000+ I think) when my save went kaput on the 5th of January last year. :(

Still, I've seen members say they've hit 999,999.9 before, so you've got either that or a duplicate thread lock to look forward to.

Whether or not the poster is being forthright about their actual race miles is on their conscious, not mine.

The post title and poll title BOTH specify, "miles raced".. I'm not sure why there's confusion about this?:dunce:

If that was an accusation that I'm lying, it's misplaced. All I know is my in game counter isn't all my miles due to what I already stated, having several accounts, the game freezing and me turning off the console while in a room.

As I said, it depends on what you define as "racing". A couple of thousand competitive laps each at a few different tracks (time trials with friends in X2010/X2011) clearly doesn't count to you, so okay, thanks for the clarification. I'd guess the figure you're looking for would be at least 200,000 in my case. :)

240,000 + & counting. I race online on weekends & lots of Seasonals to tune my 1200+ cars.

That may be right if you are using your own cars. However, I only race online in Shuffle Races & using cars from the Recommended Garage, & GT5 doesn't count mileage from them.

👍

I'm almost certain that my mileage from shuffle races is counted as well. Shuffling is nearly all I ever do online anymore and often all I'll do in a GT5 session and yet my mileage keeps going up every time I check after I'm finished. Spec races likely count too but I haven't run many full sessions using only the spec cars, they're usually mixed with shuffle or stock races.

I'm not sure about free run mileage and whether tire wear off affects the counter or if those just add miles without adding to break-in and wear & tear like TT's do.

Does anyone know if time trial distance counts as distance towards your total?

Not sure about stock cars, and not at the PS3 to run one and confirm whether the total mileage goes up, but they do add miles to your own cars when you run them. They're just "fake" miles that don't contribute to break-in and wear as I tried to say in my previous post.

7,595.7 km does this include online miles? i swear ive driven more. surely those overnighters online would count 4 something

I double checked it & you're right, the mileage does go up even when Shuffle racing. I'm half sure it never used to, I think they might've changed that in one of the many updates.

Only 188, 333.8 miles. I feel better knowing that some people have driven more.

Oh yeah. I got you by at least 700k miles.

I haven't even added up all of my accounts to get that number.
