Yes, there are some insanely fast guys out there but there are some guys out there that are not known or affiliated with any groups that are up there. We have a portuguese guy at my club, Knuckle_Duster, Wow, this guys is one of the fastest I have raced with and super clean as well.

Thank you for your answer jjaisli.

@ Wardez. Thanks for the list of names. I see if i meet some of them.I said in my 1st post, i met some good french racers one time, UGO_SPOLDING and T-tech is the names i remember, and it was 1st time i had to concentrate much to stay on top. Do you know them?

For some reason there's tons of French and Canadian drivers that are usually dependably fast. No idea why but yeah. I haven't heard of the names you mentioned. But mentioning French got me thinking of another very good driver named GTP_lapierre4.

Hmm, go ahead and add me on PSN sometime soon. I'd like to get a few runs in with you in some recommended garage cars to really gauge your level. Also, are you going to show up to the GT4 cup races? You missed the Saturday pre-season race @ Suzuka. R1600Turbo's running in that one. I'm participating in it with the C6. There's a lot of extremely quick drivers in that field. Aderrrm (creator of the series) is one you'll have plenty of trouble keeping up with as well. Moleman, w-g-e, superdan, NEPALII, outlaw4rc are the highlights. They can easily bruise an ego or two.

I agree it was much easier to get a random good race with gt5p than now. Hopefully those pp class open races come back some day 👍

GT4 is interesting but don't have time on saturday afternoon. I really like to race with you and your friends some time soon, i'll add you.

Yes, this is a nice idea, like old times. They are some PP rooms but most times they have wrong tires, like racing soft with 550PP .

What is your level?

Join my League (WSGTC) ;)

I dare you to beat some of the top guys. There's about 40 drivers in the roster at the moment :sly:

p.s. WRS is a pure hotlap competition, so if you're looking for real multiplayer challenge, check the racing series section and try out some of the leagues/series'

Astounding thread graphics and organization 👍
Too bad I can't race in these hours due to my work.

Spot races section would suit a busy schedule.

Thanks :)

Yah, i think if it was on weekends, we would have more drivers.

But anyway, a Saturday Series is in the works (non Super GT). Still no timetable for opening though :)

To answer the original question: The better you are, the odds of finding someone better than you decrease.

There's plenty of heavy weights here in the GTP scene. Guys you want to add are, to name a few (and that I guaruntee you won't beat), The_Outlaw/ GTP_timeattack or Tony1311. Other people that will definitely show you the light is people like R1600Turbo, GTP_potatochip, reventon, Remy_K and EL_ZISSOU / APPALACHIAN_CHRIS.

Well, if nothing else it'll be fun watching him race himself...

From my experience in GT5 Online, i tend to find better opposition in low PP races with street tires and shuffle races.

Search for online lobbies without SRF, "Race for Real" and look for those on street tires and low pp's (450~550). You'll probably find good opponents there.

Thank you for your support guys. I ask a clear question but everybody focus on how fast or slow i am.:grumpy:

I also raced in a series SCSS 1-2 weeks ago and had little or no competition. Wes was there too, he can confirm.
Well, you only really raced in 1 race at Fuji GP/F. It was really busy in the first corner. Me and another driver collided so I was out. And you only finished 3/4 seconds ahead of number 2. I wouldn't really call it little to no competition. If you had driven there a month or two and you had won every single race then I would call it no competition.👍

Hmmm, I'm not debating whether you're good or not but come on, why the need to make it sound like everyone else is utterly rubbish?

Just because not everyone can meet your high 'quality' doesn't mean that they can be talked about like they're dirt or sub-humans.

A better way of saying it would be that you're struggling to find good competition in lobbies as opposed to saying it as though everyone who plays this game is uselessly slow and is only playing it because they can't cut it on iracing.

Don't get upset Wes, i think you're a good driver:tup: It's not easy to beat you.

I didn't say that anyone is rubbish. I respect all drivers.

Do you want to do some racing with me online now? If you do, just add me on PSN and I'll be more than happy to have a few races.;)

I'm not upset. I just think you shouldn't come to conclusions that quickly. And that the drivers that raced there could give you some good competition. You can't really conclude anything by looking at only one race.

You are right, i'm sorry for this.👍

I was very good on GT5P races with many race wins in my much beloved Nissan 370GT Skyline and the Infinitis.

On GT5, I'm competitive but not quite enough. I've won a few times, but I'm mostly averaging 2nds and 3rds on Shuffle Races, Nascar Races and PP Races.

Shuffle Races FTW

I really don't know what you're talking about...tons of fast drivers still play on the game, particularly here. So try and look harder...

I think it isn't that there aren't as many playing GT5, in fact I find the opposite, there are a lot, so the level of competition is far more spread out. I can go into rooms all night and win every race then show up somewhere and get destroyed. Am good but not amazing I think.

With iRacing and the like it is only the serious ones racing. With GT5 there are serious ones and casual players, and lots of them. So the serious racers are harder to find.

I can confirm Supersic is very fast and very clean :-)

It was a pleasure watching you and Knuckle race. First race was epipc, and very close.

I would love to have raced, but am not as quick as you, certainly without allot of warm up practice before hand.

I've also raced with him and yes the guy is extremely fast. Beyond alien...

I just raced with him and Lapierre4 came along. First he ran some laps for WSGTC and went two tenths faster than the NSX's current best time I've seen. 1:44.5xx on racing hards in the Motul GT-R @ 610 PP. Insane. he was on the absolute limit the whole lap.

Then the race came in the form of Audi R8s from the rec. garage on Monaco. He just walked and walked. Glad I could see it for myself.

Now I'm willing to pay to see him race Tony1311. That would be an intense supernova of a contest.

Simple answer? Not enough bragging opportunities. The PS3 platform isn't online-centric either so where's the incentive to spent hundreds if hours hotlapping?

To me that's a positive thing because the community is much more relaxed. On the other hand I've been down that road, too. Beat everyone I could beat besides the really alien guys. Not much point trying, so I got bored and got on with my life.

In public lobbies, I am the fastest driver 4 times out of 5, only losing when the drivers are too aggressive for my tastes. (see: punting, divebombing, etc.)

In the 450pp group, which is easily found in the online events page as it is probably one of the largest threads on this forum, I am at best, an also ran. I have maybe 3 wins out of 50+ races that I've taken part in.

If that's not enough for you, than I guess you are, as Richard Hammond would say, a driving God.

i like when someone asks "what you think?" and then tell them that they are wrong.

Beat a few people in random rooms and suddenly your ego explodes like the us national debt.

xd

+1

Im pretty decently fast in road racing.
I win atleast 7/10 races in public lobbies but im a VERY VERY fast rally racer. i havent lost in a public lobby yet. Even against some other really good drivers. And for some reason ive noticed majority of the good people that rally race on here are Finnish
