What keeps you playing GT5P

Working wonders online. The tunes I have for races so I can make the punk kids go stage further and cry to their mummies.

I got bored with the game itself so I did my own game within the game. I took the car with the least Performance Points (Suzuki Cervo) and drove a 5 lap single race. The cars that started in front of me and finished behind me is the ones I "won" and can choose for the next 5 lap race. It's actually quiet fun! :D

I took my Cervo, overtook a Cappuccino. With the Cappuccino I overtook an Alfa 147. With that I overtook a Citroen C4 and it keeps going. Right now I drive the Nissan Skyline 370 GT. The goal is the GT by Citroen of course :)

👍

actually sounds pretty fun. ..good thinking

Haha I pretty watch a lot of top gear episodes, .. started from season one.. and every time they test a car that is similar to one on gt5P or they do a comparative test..
I take the cars for a few rides.. tune them etc...

I don't play a lot, but maybe 2 hours a week.. and it doesn't REALLY bore me till now..
but yeah..sometimes it feels a little limited. Tried to play GT4 again for all the cars and tracks but somehow it made me sick ... I almost started dizzling haha really no joke.. Think it had something to do with the graphics, and not being used to them anymore.. and another feel of the cars..

I play GT5P because GT5 hasn't come out yet. As soon as 5 comes out I'm going to put Prologue under one of the rears on my Supra and chuck a mad burnout on it.

A good handling car like my bmw m3. And of course, the Mine's BNR34

The WRS is the main reason i still play GT5P as often as i do, Their are a few manufacturer races i haven't done yet but i have all the cars bought plus extra cars in different colors. and its always good to practice till the full game comes out

I'm playing GT5P since the day that it was released and it keeps me playing to run arround tracks like Suzuka, Eiger and Fuji. The car list also makes me play. I like analyse every car, improve lap times.
I think that a racing wheel makes you keep playing more. Until GT5 comes out, I'll do it and also play other games, Ps3 has nice ones.

I'm agree that the Mine's BNR34 makes you have a great and fun time. See a video of a car like this makes you automatically play GT5P.

Good online races.
Just had a few good ones.
I had EERS4YEARS beat (I thought) at Sazuka in my Lotus...but he took me on the last lap. :)

Off topic, but i see you run the lotus, do you and alot of the fast guys run R tires?

I don't think I'm one of the FAST guys...and no, I don't think most of them run R tires. I'm actually running R1's on the rear of the Lotus because I get more consistant laps but I can run a quicker lap with S tires.

Ok OK you caught me sand bagging lol lol. was it a coincedence you had a 2 sec lead for 3 laps, but i ended up passing you on last lap and won by 2 seconds? lol Whatever, you had a crappy car for that race, and i didnt tune AT ALL, good job anyways. By the Way, Race tires are for non-racers.

Ok 👍 Im sorry if anyone feels like im comimg at them the wrong way who drive lotus and clio"s. I said that because When i race them they run so fast in the coners im like  haha, when i get in a room full of clios and lotus im so sad, because i know what time it is. I will say the decent lotus and clio driver i can hang with, but the one's with skills there is no catching them. I guess it is that great of a car with the right tune/driver 👍.

Haha same! I watch the episodes, mentally note down the guys' thoughts on the car's behavior, and then try to see if pd managed to replicate it. Not very successful, though..:indiff:

I'm still playing the game because of the online racing. My favorite track is currently Suzaka 750, and I've noticed that race participation has dropped off over the past few months, but the hard core drivers are still around. Have to say that there are fewer and fewer punters out there, especially at Suzuka. If you want to win a race with these good drivers you can't be going around trying to ram people or cut through the grass. You will lose. You have to run fast, consistant lap times to be competitive and hope for the best around the last few turns -- fewer people but great racing nowadays. Gotta love it.. See ya at the races look for GTP_BigDaddy..

I've had some outstanding races over the last couple of days at Daytona 600 AWC. NCSU2007, I thank you.

I'll start off by saying... Yes, I'm a newb. GT5P is the only racing game I've ever tried. I bought the PS3 because I wanted a blu-ray player and the GT5P came with the deal. After playing for a month or so I bought the GFGT wheel and really started to enjoy racing.

After lurking on this forum and reading as much as I can here and am about half way through "Going Faster" the game is really getting to be a challenge.

The realism of the game is the first thing that is attractive to me. When the game starts up and I see and hear the demo cars on the track I really get pumped to race.

There are plenty of challenges for me to overcome.
- Can't seem to tune very well yet, so I just find decent tunes and use them.
- The time trials are a great place for me to get the track and car figured out and see how I compare to others.
- Racing online has been loads of fun because of the challenge and some of the really decent people I'm met there.
- I just enjoy tring to figure out how to improve my times and pitting what I've learned against others online.

My real life hobby is rock crawing in my Jeep. I had some tubing left over from a fender project and made a racing cockpit with the DFGT wheel and a seat from a '94 Camaro Z28 I got for free from a friend.

Put the cockpit in front of the 52" TV, crank on the surround sound, jump in the seat and have a blast!

I see you have caught the bug as well... Welcome to GT 👍 Good idea to buy a wheel as well....

Well that is a smart idea, since the lotus is Mr and you have to keep it constantly under heavy acelleration in the turn's or you will spin, i found that out of the hard, But i do Love the realistic Pendelum effect. First game i ever drove that has it:tup:
