What keeps you playing GT5P

Yeah I think GT5P was first game for me as well to realize it. Even some FR cars works the same.. but bit less acceleration.

I also like the charecteristics of awd, like for instance turn1 at suzuka, good way to test out the understeer and oversteer, really get a sence that all the grip if coming from the outside tires, and so the car pulls hard to the Left just like it would in real life

The absence of GT5:sly:
But seriously what keeps me playing GT5P is the mind blowing physics, my new wheel and the online events suzuka expert 650PP 10 laps
(when there's more than 2 persons to race:grumpy:)

The feeling i get inside when i see my black Z06 driving through the tunnel on HSR with its lights on, the feeling when the tuned Swift starts gripping again on Eiger after smoking the front tires for 50 meters, the feeling when i drive side by side with another car and look into its cockpit from my own....

The game just never ceases to amaze me.

The awesome race I just had on suzuka. Swapping places for 8 laps, but what a race it was.

A few days ago I drove through the pit lane at very low speed while looking to the right from the cockpit view. Even that looked very, very nice. The attention to detail is just huge.

Right now, what keeps me playing is my PS3 that broke down. So I lost my savegames, i'm going for all silver/gold + all cars + 2m credits. I had all gold but I don't know if I will do that again...

NOT A DAMN THING!

There's not enough offline content.

Online is just punters, people with downloaded setups
or way too much time on their hands. All running the
same three (PP is gay) cars on the same boring tracks.

Completely over it.

Trying to get promoted up the GTP registry divisions, improve my own driving now that I have a wheel, and more than anything else racing the many friends I've made here online.

Nothing beats close racing online with other GTP members and tagged members from other forums.

All the best

because GT5 isn't out, if im not playing GT5p im playing GT4.

I think when I realise I havent bought every car in the dealership I realise how much im missing, and decide to buy it, race it, TT it etc, and move to the next car.

While I don't feel as harshly as you I agree. I went back to FM2, and back to GT5P again, but I just ready for an all new game form both those devs. For now I have UFC, Punch Out, and the upcoming Fight Night to keep me occupied, and if I get the urge for great online racing I'll go back to FM2, If I want to experience the great physics of GT I'll even try it again, but I too am over it.

Good question i was thinking that myself,i suppose like a lot of people i thought i was good at racing till i went online racing now i know how bad i am im chasing the impossible needle in a haystack trying to find perfection

I stopped playing GT5P for owning it for about 2 months. There wasn't enough content to keep me playing and that time I didn't care for online racing. I had some sort of addiction to the online sensation called World of Warcraft. That came literally pulled me away from this site and my car loving nature. To break the habit, I came visiting this forum again was amazed by all the fast times and cool GT5P frift videos being posted. I wanted to be a part of it all over again. Then I ran into a forum about the steering wheels and my life turned around.

3 weeks ago, I went to Best Buy and bought that 299.99 Logitech G25. This wheel have driven me back to who I was before. The G25 wheel is like the MVP of getting me back into the Gran Turismo franchise again. Now I have been playing GT5P nearly everyday because the wheel makes it so much fun.

I want to try online at some point, but I think I still suck. I can't even get 1st place on any of the 750PP section on professional mode. The best I can achieve is between 10th-6th place. I am pretty sure everyone here will beat me every single time if we were to race online. Think I need more practice on the wheel, get better in tuning the car, and watch more videos of hardcore players.

it is amazing game. if you play online, the game never ends. you see so many fast people and i have an urge to beat them even it takes hours of practice.

Well said!;)👍
The attention to detail in Gran Turismo I believe contributes to it taking more time and dedication to release each new GT, but it is also what makes it so incredibly amazing.:D
I wouldn't change a thing regarding how the PD team produces this Simulator, they always end out being an amazement when released.
Sometimes I like to just open up the garage and get in a Car and go for a steady cruise through London or Eiger.:)

GT5 Prologue wasnt released as a game that poeple would spend hours every day with. It's just a little treat while waiting for the game, and as a treat it is amazing! I must admit it's not the best game I own. But thats only about content, and content is a topic for a full priced game. GT5 Prologue is missing out on many things GT stands for. Like a GT Mode, hundreds of cars, a lot of tracks, real tuning e.t.c. So it will get a bit boring now and then.

You know when im on my PS3, dont really know what to do, i fire up the game, wait for the main menu, shut off the controller and wait for the awesome car presantations and the museum stuff (btw. i have the feeling they constantly update the museum, i see new stuff almost everytime). :D

Also an awesome screensaver!

iwhat keeps me going is the realism of the physics.

i love to compare cars. like sub. impreza with mits. evo :D

@GT Ace, i did realise that too. Just last night i saw a new museums thing about the Merc. 300Sl
