I use this thing. Pretty stock without any special features. It came as a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. Only reason i bought it was because it was a special at the local bestbuy for like $15 when the original price was like $50

Stock HP mouse? Ball? Damn those suck.

If you want a wired laser, get a Logitech G5. The're great for gaming & every day use.

I'm not sure on battery life, but Logitech G7 is what you want if you go wireless.

I have a basic Logitech three-button scroll-wheel USB wired mouse with a ball. And goddamnit, I want it that way (I gave up a Microsoft optical for this thing, and had a multi-button wireless optical before that).

Wireless is pointless (hurray for using batteries to power something that is within 3 feet of my PC at all times!), optical is incredibly irritating (turn to aim at something in a FPS-- whoops! Suddenly I'm spinning in circles and looking at the floor! :dopey: ), and gimmicky extra buttons get in my way more than they help (since I never remember to use them, the only time they're used is when I accidentally press them while trying to do something important).

Now I have the most reliable, most precise mouse I've ever used, and in this age of silly optical mice, cleaning the rollers feels like a privilege. :) 👍

I guess I'm just a bit old-fashioned. I'd love to have an old clickety-clickety keyboard (sans Windows key and those stupid extra "internet," "email," etc keys!!! :) ), but those things are too big to fit on my desk with my 17" CRT monitor.
 
Logitech Mouseman Dual Optical



Been using it for at least 3-4 years now. Been acting funny lately. I think it might need to be cleaned.
 
Logitech MX Revolution. I've completely fallen in love with their new scroll wheel design. I haven't found a great deal of use for the side scroll and the search button yet in their default settings. I've been tweaking them for specific purposes in different programs though. Works like a charm 👍
 
What am I using, you ask?

Some horrid old rollerball, corded mouse that came with my computer. The paint's even wearing off on top...

I would go out and buy a Logitech G5, save for two reasons:
-It's a 'Family' computer, and as such I feel that others should contribute to it (even though the mouse is not very expensive), which they currently won't.
-I do plan on purchasing a laptop sometime in the next 2 - 2.5 months, and I will get a mouse with some other fun bits to go with it.
 
I use a Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 1.0. Old school style:

Best moust I've ever used. Goes through batteries rather quickly, though.
 
On my laptop I use the touchpad, and on my desktop at home I use a Dell rollerball mouse. Nevermind the fact that my desktop is a HP Pavillion :lol:.

FYI I just ended up using my Logitech MX510. This thing is pushing 7 years old and still works like a charm. *knock on wood*
 
Logitech Anywhere MX. It will eat your batteries in 2 weeks flat out but works great on my couch with a pillow on top in a good position to get rid of Carpal tunnel when I use my HTPC. I always find that a lower position down near the keyboard and mouse is the best solution for me. With this mouse I also find that it does not irritate the palm of the my hand since the back slopes down. Plus it tracks great with it's Darkfield technology and I could track on glass if I wanted to.
 
I have a stupid crap mouse that came with my laptop 3 years ago. It's from Acer but it works so it's more than enough (it as also never betrayed me on shooters and such :sly:)
 
A GearHead...something or other. It works and is USB wireless so I'm happy.

Got a RocketFish MSE14 (nano-receiver, some extra buttons for stuff etc) in December last year and so far it's going quite well. And it's only on its second battery :D

Got a couple problems but is generally very good.
 
I still use an original Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical, I think it was the worlds first consumer optical mouse and still works like the day I got it.

I use a wireless mouse from some Chinese brand, I can't remember the name. It's pretty small which is nice as it doesn't take up too much room on the sofa next to me and has a auto-switch off after 10 minutes to save the batteries. It comes back on once it's clicked. I believe it uses infra-red. It came as a set with a really compact keyboard which works of the same USB receiver. Not bad for 180RMB.

Worst mouse I've ever used, I'd rather go to the dollar store and pick up a cheesy one. One another note it is a bit durable so that's ok.

I'm using the same one. Manufacturer date is November 2001 and working perfectly. :)

Scrolling to the left with that extra roller is set with a macro for the purple and bold text tags, scroll right does nothing. Those 2 buttons on the side are set to back and forward for internet browsing.
I've got the palm rest slid back about a half inch, and I use the pinkie rest on the top left of this picture:

Gen.1 Nova Blue Death Adder on my desktop (it's looking really old and worn out already), but I do have a Sentinel Advance (which I'll change to if the Death Adder dies).

On the other hand my notebook uses its included ASUS branded R.O.G. mouse, which is actually an Ideazone Reaper Edge, if I'm not wrong.
