I had a Geforce 2 GTS but it failed and just got a Geforce 4 MX 440 8xAGP. I just wanted something to make this computer go and there is no point in putting in anything decent as my motherboard supports 2xAGP and below.

9800 Pro... Great card. I ran it for a couple of weeks O/C to the XT specs..., handled it with no problems at all....

Radeon 9700 non-pro 128mb. I got it last summer, preparing for HL2, but I still was not disapointed. It will still be a great card for HL2, and it was a massive improvement over my craptacular radeon 7000. Plus, when I tried to install the 9700, my old intel mobo couldn't handle it's power, so the video slot got fried, and I got a new Asus mobo, and some other stuff including 512mb of DDR RAM, a great improvement over my old 256mb of PC-133 RAM.

Akira, I love your avatar. Dirty Harry owns all.

How do you overclock video cards. I heard you have to use this program called Power Strip.

Well, I wouldn't do it unless you have sufficient cooling, maybe even Liquid on the GPU and ramsinks. There are many ways to overclock your GC, but I would recommend sticking to a decent piece of software, like:
Cool Bits (Nvidia cards)
RadLinker (ATI cards)
Powerstrip (any card)

Thanks :D.

Did you even search before typing?

You're the only person I have seen that can be a demise for Nvidia, even though they like them. There is nothing in the things that you have said that would hold valuable as evidence in proving your point. Please, exit stage left.

Yep, the X800 might dominate now, but wait till the games start utilizing the 16 pipelines. I have been Nvidia since after I had my beloved 3DFX, and it hasnt done me wrong.

[edit] Nice review, I think Nvidia won more tests :ouch: [/edit]

Are you still referring to benchmarks? What a waste. BENCHMARKS DO DIDDLYSQUAT!!! They are Nvidia biased (FACT), and are UN-PLAYABLE. So therefore, they do nothing for your gaming experience. Oh yeah, and ATI does have 16 pixel pipelines. So you still have no evidence to back your cause. Keep trying!
