I am of the opinion that a fine writing instrument is of paramount importance is looking busy at work, whilst actually doing nothing. The same applied when I was at school. Nobody buys that you are being productive (when you are actually goofing off) when you have a pavement special.

Currently I am using Parker Frontier Fountainpen.

You?

I only use the classic blue bic or free ad-pens. My favourite right now is a pen from "Transwede", but hey, I'm just a student;)

Any parker fountain, with a medium sized nib. Although i've lost every single decent pen i've ever had. So I just use crappy BIC ballpoints. Not that it really matters as I only have to write a few things down anyway.

Pilot V Razor Point Extra Fine. I can't stand ball point pens. I used to use fountain pens, until I realized that technology has liberated literate people from such inconvenient instruments for a reason.

I go through a box of these a month. I think it's because everybody steals them

My favorite pen has been relegated to specail use only. DUe to the refills no longer being made. Tombow.

i never buy pens....

i use those wee stubby ones you get for free or get some from my works stores....bics and the like...

every couple of weeks i get junk mail from companies offering loans, insurance etc...and just to make sure you fill in thier application form they always include a 'complimentary' pen....i prefer to call them junk pens...i have a drawer full...

Ah, but modern fountain pens are not inconvenient thanks to cartridges, and liquid ink is such a wonderful medium compared to paste ink used in other pens. I can't write with ball points, and fiber tips tend to blunt too easily and I find the point goes off far before they are out of ink.

I have three pens I use regularly. One is about 15 years old, the second one is about 8 years old, and the third is about 3 years old. The older two are Lamy Safaris, which are great pens and have a wonderful line from bothe the front and back sides of the nib. The third one is a Rotring, and I still haven't got the nib worn in to my satisfaction, so I don't use it as much.

This is the older Lamy, a Medium nib:

This is the newer Lamy, an fine nib with an aluminum barrel:

Haha, I get loads of those. I have about 5 capital one pens and various other 'junk' ones lying about in the house.

My favorite pen is the Pilot Dr. Grip Center of Gravity.

I know it's a stupid name, but it just seems to write differently. Also the refils are a pain to find. It claims that it uses "turbo charged" ink, whatever that means. It's smaller than the other Dr. Grips, and it fits my hand right.

Worst pen ever.

the only pen i would ever fork out my cash for is one that automatically corrects your spelling as you write....and has a built in hard drive (for some reason)...possibly for playing mp3s and the like...

some kinda wonder-pen....

*stares into space dreamily*

other than that a pen is a pen to me, it makes black lines....sometimes blue or red....not much to get excited about there IMO

I can just tell, it reeks of sucking ness.
Is there a hidden agenda for this stupidity, or is it just garden variety, face-value stupidity?

Pilot V Razor Point Extra Fine - i love those things and now that i've gotten used to them, i never touch ball pens. my only problem is being left handed, the ink from all pens smudges all over my hand :'(

i've had a few fountain pens, but they were of a very cheap variety and had a tendency to leak like hell if they got jarred around...but even then, i love fountain pens. who knows, maybe for my bro's birthday next year i'll buy him a nice mont blanc

I haven't ever tried fountain pens, I don't need them as I'm just a student in high school. Anyways I like using the PILOT Precise V5 Extra Fine Rolling Ball pens. (I just copied what was on the pen)

A pen is a pen is a pen. I use whatever i can find or steal. The nicer pens always get stolen so i use the bic ones. The bics also make great spitball launchers.

i like a pen taht u can write with...umm.....has ink......umm.....u can hold......
Bloody hell people! we are talking about pens! dont you have better things to do!?
Your prob thinking im a complete prat, but i dont care, i have scruffy handwriting and teh only thing that covers that up is a computer printer

Well...I'd like to see you write a topic on something that hasnt been discussed on this fourm.

If I actually write with a pen, I usually use a MonAmi Jeller-Pen. I'd use something better, but I never use pens for anything. I draw just about everything I do (as well as write) with a plain old Bic 0.7mm MaticGrip #2, and anyhting that's deserving to be finished properly with an Extra Fine Point Sharpie 35000.

Pens are too constricting.
