what aftermarket companys do you want in GT5? and what stuff should they offer?

Nismo for exampel, i want most of the bodykits from nismo that excist irl into GT5... and i want decals/stickers form the companys as well... the Spoon rear window topstripe for exampel.

if they include dragracing i think Jeg's would be enough as a tuning company, cause they have pretty much everything you need... (Hoosier drag tires should be included if they put in dragracing as well)

Then of course, engine swaps... the engine swap system in forza is great cause its not too much and they stay realistic... but when making a dragrace car (if drag racing will be in) you should be able to make more extrem engine swaps... like put a chevy big block into a Volvo 240 Estate for exampel
and depending on how big and tuned V8 engine you put into a car and depending on the car model the engine should stick up out of the bonnet (then automaticly a custom bonnet with a whole for the engine gets on the car...

hope you understand what i'm saying, guess my english isn't that good...

Mmmmmmm.....swapz0rz :dopey:
I'd definitely include Kugel Components for their 302/rear-drive Focus conversion kits.

JWT, maybe, for turbo-tuned Nissans.

Veilside? Hellooooo?

I'd also like a "Cousin Ed's" type shop, a backyard tuner that'll give you lots of power for cheap, but give you a 50% chance of breaking down in an enduro.

Lingenfelter, Saleen Mustangs, Roush, MachPerformance, SLP, Sportec, etc.

Just put every major one in, and don't limit it to Japanese companies.

yeah, Veilside i want as well :D

they should have more european and american tuners
veilside and top secret will be a great addition in JPN side

Hamaan, Brabus and Euro tuners would be great.

Also with engine swaps, I think that it obviously shouldn't be limited to the same manufacturer ala Forza, I'd like to see all sorts of swaps. Not over the top or extreme like a Chev smallblock in a Mini but something like a 13B turbo into a KP Starlet and stuffl like that. Weight distribution would be altered by the swaps so that changing the engine could also have a favourable effect on the handling. E.g, taking out the RB20 from a Cefiro and swapping it for an SR20 would provide little actual power gain but because of the lighter motor the car would handle better.
That would encourage people to not immediatley go straight to the most powerful motor and think about going light and lithe instead of big, fat and heavy.

Another idea could be to offer kits for the cars, which increase the performance at an affordable price e.g, you could spend your $5,000 on a big arse turbo or you could buy a sport tune kit which has sport tyres, sport suspension, short shift kit, a bodykit, new exhaust, strut brace etc. You pay a certain amount and get your car tuned by the tuner, like Nismo do to the 350Z. You could pay $5,000 and get a S-Tune, or pay $30,000 and get an R-tune.

👍 ...would also make racing limited series much more fun and challenging if you're limited to certain kits or tune levels. This would be a good way to ensure you stay within those limits.

body kits an stickers and decals are NOT something i want to see in gt5, that all ricer crap. tuners? lets think, more american and european shops.

banks
hurst
hooker
b&m

ook? they have to include it... thats the new thing. they just have to do it right... i hate NFSU venyls... thats silly... but decals from tuner companys i think would be cool... and only body kits from aftermarket tuners...

crimson_menace
How about Caffeine tuning, or jegs for the rednecks! (btw... JK!!! :dunce: )
I've allready said Jeg's once but ok, yeah it would be great if they add more old V8 cars and Dragrace mode...

Make Porsche a dealer and RUF a tune shop

Technically RUF is a manufacturer so it should have its own dealer.

Another tuner that there should be is Fensport, the guys from Britain who made a 600hp 3SGTE AWD Corolla hatch. And if it hasn't already been mentioned, Dahlback, the VW and Audi tuners should be in GT5 too.

I want to see different sized wheels and tyres that affect performance. Also, wide body kits/flares so you can fit wider tyres would be good. Also engine conversions would be good, obviously trickier conversions that need alterations to the structure of the car would cost more. RWD/4WD conversions too. No Veilside bodykits, they look ugly and no serious person would race a car with all that crap which does nothing to the aerodynamics and would just break off when you tap an opponent or a curb. I want to see the lower end mods being more used, make races where you're not allowed to use racing/fully customisable stuff. There's no real incentive in GT4 to use the low end stuff when the better stuff is only a couple of thousand more.

lol, you dont have to use Veilside bodykits if they r in right? YOU think they r ugly, not everyone... anyway the size option is a good idea, but the sizes should depend on what sizes the irl wheel are avalible in... (all these details has to be realistic!)

EDIT: the Veilside bodykits are not made for road racing anyway, its just styling...

Bah, I'm so sick of seeing cars with Veilside kits/cheap knockoffs and Advanti chromes. My most hated Veilside kit is the MR2 kit, it looks like it has big rolls of flab hanging off the side of the car and the stupid front kits for MKIV Supras. A bodykit should fit the style of the car, Veilsides fail badly at this. I could design a far nicer bodykit than any one of theirs. Then again, people would probably prefer garish ricer crap.

ok, and you think you own the world or something? cause you'r saying you hate Veilside kits and then you think everyone else does and it should not be in GT5 cause of YOU? so you r not gonna play GT5 if there will be veilside bodykits in it? just dont use them! :dunce:

Absolutely. With their insane 600-900HP Golf 4

Ain't Veilside kits expenisve I never see veilside kits on any cars and I think the MR2 kit is one of the nicest kits for the MR2 anyways I think Mongosse Tenzo R Team Dymanamics (who make wheels for the BTCC) Alpina Beemer tuners TOMS Amuse Wingswest Jackson racing e.tc sould be added

This isn't NFSU.
no, Forza isn't NFSU either :D if you dont wanna modify your car, then dont... I guess the majority want aftermarket bodykits...

@Mad Murphy... while I agree that bodykits aren't all that great for racing, it would be nice to see a realistic simulation of downforce, drag co-efficiency changes and weight balance differences for bodykits... if a crappy game like TokyoExtreme can get that right (almost no other game considers weight when modelling bodykits or parts), then GT should.

One other thing TokyoExtreme got right was the tire and rim sizing thing you mentioned. It's such an important feature of grassroots racing and tuning that I'm surprised GT still doesn't have it. Too bad TE handles like crap.

Besides, wouldn't it be great to be able to buy a 510 or an old Skyline and be able to strip the bumpers for racing?
