If they are going to include an SUV via DLC, this should be in.

And with THIS engine sound

I remember seeing this at an auto show ages ago. Blew my mind...

The Lambo would be interesting... if only they would get the sound right.

So what you're saying is we need to beg Polyphony to start working on Tourist Trophy 2. :)

Or "BusLife" or some other Nippon-centric title like that... nobody here ever play that train-driving arcade game?

One of the Prologue titles had a "race" with a concept car where you actually had to stop and make it "sit" for a specified amount of time on a marker. Work the same mechanic into a Bus or Taxi challenge for picking up passengers, add free-roam, allow us to buy upgrades for the vehicles (bigger turbo for the bus diesel? Yes please), and PD might have another hit on their hands.

Oh, actual relevance to the topic? You're all evil, evil people. Don't buy cars and SUVs. Take the Bus.

I'd only want more SUV's and pick ups if they actually made some events to use them in, not just a couple of races and that's all. They're quite honestly a waste of time if there's not at the very least a 5 race championship for each. This is a big problem with GT5, so many vehicles and so little events that the majority of cars are pointless even being in the game.

Its called the real driving simulator, not racing simulator. The game is about the love of cars regardless of what type of car it is.

My thoughts exactly to the negative posts of this thread.

As to the OP, I would like to see more trucks, and Hummer for that matter. I mean, PD did put in a truck event, so I don't understand why they didn't at least put one or two new/premium trucks in GT5.

ding-ding-ding!

How come any form of driving you do is always in some form of competition (drifting/time attacks/actual racing). Last I checked, you couldn't go to the grocery store or drive on the SoCAL high ways on a Sunday.

Oh no, that pod race from GT Concept. Absolutely ridiculous:dunce:

I for one welcome the return of the tail-wagging, emotion-based-lighting Toyota pod to GT. At the very least, it'd be better to race against than the current AI.

Most likely because this is still a game at its core, and a game needs some sense of progression. Racing's kind of the natural move when it comes to automotive games. But PD's made it pretty clear they don't have much interest in it being a racing simulator, because races are pretty bare-bones.

Audi Q7 V12 TDI & Dodge Ram SRT10! Woulda love to see these in the game, probs wouldn't last a lap in the Dodge as the fuel will probs run out  !

Not true at all. 95% of the driving I do on GT5 is in PRACTICE. Not racing anyone but myself. Then after I finish, I watch the reply. Yes, I'm a looser.

PS: A quick count of Honda cars shows that there's 25 cars w/ 161hp or less. 15 of them were less than 100hp. This is just Honda, not total in the game. Hmm....they sure do sound like they'd be suited to pick-up groceries in don't they? I don't see what the fuss is all about if people (like myself) would love to have stuff like the Grand Cherokee SRT8 in the game.

some of you may have raced me online recently and been beaten by a truck.. i'm in a lightning or 04 ssr typically. some of the comments are funny. some guys get downright offended, the others are in disbelief. :D

Except 1 guy is in a little import and then tries to not be run over. They can call it "Gran Commuter".
LOL! One of the license tests could be backing the little import out of a parking space between two H1's while trying not to be T-boned by other traffic.

Where's the El Caminos in the game?
And hearses? Flower cars? Limos?? One stretch limo would be cool.
'60s Ambulances like in Mother, Juggs and Speed?
A fire truck? Ladder truck? Pumper? Come on!
The tiller car from 1899 in GT4 seems to be missing.
I see something that would work as a meter maid car, it needs official police paint.

And where are the motorcycles? Yeah....

Road graters?
Steam rollers?
A truck that lays out asphalt so we can edit tracks (AKA straighen out some chicaines)
Bicycles, skateboards.
Add pedestians as obsticals
Mopeds
Giant dump trucks used in strip mining, the ones with 10' tall tires
A coke/pepsi/beer truck
or THIS THING

sure! I would take a 'top gear over-sized americans' race over that darn samba bus one any day. But there's even more to it than that. Stuff like the '92 gmc syclone certainly deserves a place, especially when compared to some of the bland cars that made the cut.

Edit: But back on the topic of newer ones, why not a newer chevy colorado or something like that??

The opportunities are truly endless, and surely not limited to consumer vehicles. On a side note, how about a 90s corr chevy blazer rally raid car? The toyota tacoma pikes peak racer? And, with the nascar license, a truck or two from the craftsman truck series, or whatever its called now days.

i like this idea

Pickups & SUV's are much more common on the road where I live, yet I still see absolutely NO reason ANY of them need to be in the game.

Not the same model, at all.

Agreed, the new F150 is awesome. With the 2011 it takes the 6.2L and the Raptor can get it supercharged. I have the 09 and its awesome.
But even the new Ram is a nice machine. The Titan and that thing from Toyota...

Not tradition for a car game, but like others said, we get hundreds of stupid cars, 200 different skyliners, we could use 10 prem trucks considering there are so many of them on the road in north america.
