What quality "standard wheels" would you prefer?

With the news that wheels will be customizable with the next update, it offered to me we may end up with very high res wheels on very POW res cars which may look strange

What would you prefer? High res wheels on (some) bad looking cars or lower res wheels to match the car?

Personally I'd like a bit off both, find some middle ground where they look good but not too out of place.

Paint a standard car in matte paint, it makes it look better quality, ahah, this is a good question, I would like Hi-res ones, I will make an image of premium rims on standard car, give me 20 minutes :)

This is just might what the cars will look like.

Renault Avantime, this new feature would of been very useful for one of my latest videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trJ4...text=C2b7c5UDOEgsToPDskLwFRAyk1daf-8RHJ8FSTcI

I'll agree with that. If they could bring back the old wheels from the previous game, but with painting options (seeing as Standards are able to be painted as such wheels should probably use the same coding) that would be best. High res wheels on lower res cars would just look totally out of place in some cases.

I hope you mean "high-poly and low-poly" instead of "high-res and low-res".

And for me, the quality doesn't matter. At least we can make these things look good from now on.

I think "high-res and low-res" is better when talking about standard cars, because although the polygon count is low on the standard cars, it's actually mostly the low-res graphics that makes them look bad (when they do. Some are better than others).

I would prefer premium quality rims on the standard cars. I think that there is no point in adding new content if it's not premium quality.

They wont re-make lesser quality wheels imho,I think what pd will have done is basically allowed us to use the current wheels in the game on std cars

Those pictures actually look quite good, I was thinking more of the "blocky", exceptionally bad standards with those lovely shiny rims. Anyone fancy mocking any of those up? :D

What I am wondering even more is will the new rims give the cars a little better grip? For example the stock wheels on a Supra RZ are THIN. Will the custom rims just be a cosmetic change or will (like in real life) the tires get wider?

When you buy tyres for any premium or standard car it alters the performance depending on the tyres you buy. The actual rims have nothing to do with handling and that's been proven with by testing the change on Premium cars. It will probably be the same with Standards.
The rims will just be purely cosmetic I think, won't affect any aspect of the handling capabilities of the car.

Gorgeous Supra! What colour is that? It's just like the Leyton-House works colour they used on F3000, F1 and GTEndurance race cars they sponsored.

I'll place an emphasis on the look of the car rather than the quality of wheels itself...

If you take a standard car off road, the tyres / wheels actually look very high quality... I think that's what they will look like and I think it looks good. I don't think it will make the low quality standards look any worse.
