Ok here is the story
I was driving my (ex)girlfriends car, we decided to go to taco bell, its minnesota in the winter so there is ice everywhere. we pull into the drive through (her car is a 2001 hyundai ellentra gt 5 door no abs) and i pull into the drive through and hit some ice and slide the car into the curb, ok no problem happens all the time up here, after we break up she calls me on the phone saying i owe them $360 for a new tire and rim. I go to a tech school and am taking mechanics i could have gotten that taken care of for atleast $50. now they are trying to take me to court. the thing is my gf told her parents that she hit the curb when we where going out but we broke up she said i did it because she was angry with me. just some legal advice because its their car is it their choice where they get the work done and who pays or what? right now i am thinking i fix it and thats it but they say the wheel is nonreturnable, not true, i can understand the fact that they needed an allighnment (sp) but i also could have done that for free. also if i do go to court i will be 18 then but at the time of the incedense(sp again im tired) i was 17 if that has anything to do with it then that would be helpfull also.
