What should I get my bf for Christmas?

I've been having a lot of trouble thinking up what to get my boyfriend for Christmas. He's pretty much a self-buyer and anything that he wants he will pretty much get, so I am totally at a loss.

The one car-related thing I know he doesn't have is a wheel and pedals set, which would be a good present. However, the good ones are totally out of my price range, and if I'm not going to give him a good one, I don't see the point of giving him anything that at all (I don't want him to be annoyed at some crappy controller while playing).

Are there any other car-related options I have, or other things that would make good Christmas ideas?

I'm not sure where he shops and I'm not sure what your price range is but how bout a gift card to where he wants it from?

Other than that, got any more info about what he buys or what he already has?

If he pretty much has everything already, how about buying yourself some nice lingerie and wrapping a bow around your waist and suggest he may like to unwrap his "present". Just a thought...and as a bonus you get to keep the lingerie :D

Maybe this is just me, but I prefer practical gifts, because the only gadget and source of entertainment I really need is my computer. I usually just ask my parents for a pack of Crest Whitestrips for Christmas. If I didn’t already have a backup HD, I’d probably ask for that.

Heh computer parts ftw. If he watches movies on his computer, get him a better video card, or sound card etc. And HD's are usefull aswell :)

How about giving him "GT premium". If he has that then something else that is always a great gift is hand tools for cars (just not cheap ones)

Wooden Indian, for the man who has everything (that is what my mom got my dad for his b-day)

A gift card would work aswell, if you know where he shops.

From,
Chris.

x2 👍

But more seriously, I think that the best gifts are things that people might not necessarily want. Just something heartfelt, something that reminds you of him/her. Something they can put on a desk and see it and be reminded of you, etc. Also a big fan of made-by-hand things.

How old are you Morgan? How long have you two been together? Do you know each other's parents?

If you're old enough to get the gift I'd suggest and you've been together long enough to get the gift I'd suggest, you might need a fake gift to point to when the parents ask what you got each other.

Ditto here. I asked for socks and such for my B-day once. Its generally small crap I forget about or don't have the time to get that I ask for now adays.

I think this X-mas its gonna be shoes. Cause I need a new pair.

As for the original question. There is Danoff's suggestion, or you can go with something a tad bit less risque and settle on a nice card and maybe cook him some food, et cetera.

Golf clubs and lessons.

Every man should know how to Golf by the time they're 20.

Okay, seriously, now I know you’re lying about your age. :p

If somebody gave me a set of golf clubs, I’d just use them to beat that person to death.

Buy an atv, and you'll have way more fun mowing the lawn.
The only drawback is that there won't be any grass left when you're done.
The positive thing is that you don't have to mawn the lawn for a while after that.

ontopic: how much do you want to spend on the present?
Maybe you could find a cheap second hand DFP on ebay.

I think I'm going to have to give something homemade, and/or myself. He kind of works in computers and video/audio, so I don't think he'll want something work-related. I'd rather not give him money, even in the form of a gift card. My price range is up to $50, which isn't a lot but I'm a student.

Danoff's suggestion is looking good so far. I just hope my boyfriend doesn't visit this thread and ruin the surprise. :)

Tickets to go see AvPR on Xmas day =3

But seriously, self-buyers are pretty hard to buy for as you say...so...get him some DVDs he may be missing and something home made *nods* I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Ok, you don't seem to want to give out your age. So here's my suggestion assuming you're of age (even though everyone seems to know already). Get him porn+yourself+beer+sandwich. I'm telling you I don't know a guy on the planet that wouldn't enjoy that Christmas (probably Christmas Eve actually).

I had a girlfriend get me a porn video once, and I'll tell you this - I remember it, unlike so many other gifts I've gotten from so many others (including other girlfriends). Of course, she did her research too, she figured out what I was interested and even had the sleazeball behind the counter giver her suggestions (which I'm not sure I recommend). It's memories like that that make me wonder what killed that relationship.

...but... like I said, keep in mind that you may need a cover story for the parents.

Obviously this gift doesn't work if you're not willing to watch it with him.

Great Dan, now that I know the ultimate gift from a girlfriend I'm going to be so disappointed when I don't get it. Thanks.

And though I've never even thought of it, I'm positive that would be a gift that I would absolutely...well I might just pass out. Sure, the gitft may have been given many times before, but the aura of Christmas seems like it would give the gift a special feeling.

Well now I know to accidentally leave this page on that post next time my girlfriend gets on my computer...subtle hints and all.

C'mon YSSMAN. Everyone knows the only folks who golf under 50 are the millionaires & 'married for longer than 20 years' husbands. ;)

God, I guess I really am getting old... Maybe its just a West Michigan thing, but a lot of the younger guys around here play Golf...

A whole bunch of my sister's friend's play golf and they're only 17. I always found it odd though...

I'm not sure what to get my boyfriend either. He's right into music, but is more of a download man, so I'm thinking band t-shirts. He's also a fan of aviators so perhaps a nice new pair of sunnies. I got him a poker set last year which he thought was awesome, but hasn't actually used.

And its true, men do like lingerie as much as women, but I used that as a Valentines Day present. The religious part of Christmas would make me feel too guilty to do something of that nature.

So you bought him a pack of cards?

What's religion got to do with Christmas?

If he loves music but is more of a download man, how about a 'live' dvd of one of his favourite bands?

Live DVD is actually a pretty good idea.. I'll put that in the 'maybe' pile. And by poker set, I mean cards, chips, board, etc. The whole kit 'n kaboodle. He could set up his own casino!

FIFA is no more! There's a new love in his life now... :( I only just realised today that its actually called Pro Evo. I've been calling it Pro Ebo. I like Ebo better.
