I have played Gt since Gt1 and liked it alot, but with 10 months of GT5 i feel that PD tries to hard to make all players happy. What I mean is that they have :

*Nascar
*Rally
*DTM
*LMP
*GT500
*GT300
*Prototypes
*Roadcars
*Some Historic Trans AM
*f1
*Roadcars
But none of them feels complete, I would have liked it better if they would stick to a few and make those realy good and with full carlists and tracks.

For me production roadcars should be then main thing in GT

If I could pick 2 other it would be

*Historic Transam
*GT500

What do you all think?

I wouldn't have bought GT series if they only had cars from a very few limited categories of racing classification, of course introducing too many motors coming of various realm and purpose for driving(Ranging from racing cars to the ones picked up just for going for drive in our everyday life) , it would take the PD too long to set the game unveiled.

All they need to do is figure out a way to model the cars faster, or hire lots of modelers...

GT5 should put more cars in it. Like a 05 mailbu Nissan altima. Shelby mustang. P veryon. Auston Martion 1-77. More like people transporters. More trucks. They should put in the Audi V18 Streemliner from GT A-Spec. A '69 Dodge Challenger would be great. Even a Plymouth GTX. THE GAME NEEDS MORE CARS!!!!!

I think they have got the cars spot on except the ridiculous amount of variations of certain models . Its the lack of tracks that lets the game down a bit, if GT5 had concentrated on a narrow group of cars I would have not purchased it, it is the main appeal of the game.

i think some new DTM's and a lot more road cars. And when i say road cars i mean fast, decent well known ones not something like a proton whatchamacallit. A citreon C2 would be lovely though ;)

No focussing on Nascar, Le Mans and DTM, enough is enough.

Also, F1 license is already token.

I would like the roadcars and the roadcars though.

There are many cars you can put ON your wish list...

But I would recommend to PD to REMOVE the X2010 because this car ruined GT5 gameplay balance totally. Speed perception, ridiculous difficulty level for races without car/category pre selection etc. etc. etc.

More cars would be great. Especially the Plymouth GTX, first-gen RX-7(FB), just about ANY Oldsmobile and don't get me started on the whole Porsche thing...

More tracks would be cool, too. I really miss Apricot Hill and Seattle.

However, if it was up to me (it isn't, lol), I'd prefer that PD concentrate on the connection issues and (expletive deleted) black screens that plague online play. I'd say those are the issues that bother me the most.

👍 to this post.

I agree. They have enough cars and tracks in the game, more than enough imo. I'm tired of wondering if I am going to stay connected for a whole race. It can't be my internet cause it's fast and I race off the modem only, bypassing the router on race days and sometimes I still get kicked. It's crap and it's annoying.

PD should focus on GT6. But if not, the all I need in GT5 is a ONE LAP MAGIC SEASONAL!!! Bring back mission 34 from GT4!

I don't know if I can find it. It's a old GTP post. + I'm on a mobile device. So no URL

Okay , no worries. 👍

Just would've been good to see any confirmation of content.

My search continues......

Well IMHO PD needs to be more thorough next time. Whether you all like it or not NASCAR IS a part of this game and it was totally halfassed in this game. They only have a few cars in it and only have 2 actual NASCAR tracks. It needs to have all the tracks and it needs to have all the cars. Also this is a game of realism, and it is true that those cars are extremely fast but on Daytona they are restricted so they can't go that fast. Yea going 230 mph in a NASCAR stock car is fun but not realistic.

Same thing with rally, there needs to be more rally tracks. Not just a few special events. There needs to be more events in general. I also really enjoyed the special events and wish there were more. Licenses need to be implemented more better. They actually need to represent something in the game. I feel like having these top visuals aren't so much necessary, yea good graphics are important in this day and age but I can sacrifice a few thousand polygons per car in order to add more content. Not sure if they were having issues with fitting it all but I heard there was, correct me if I'm wrong please. I want more tracks, I miss some of the tracks from previous GT's as well as I would personally like a better create your own track. Where I can create everything personally, not by tweaking some numbers.

Another big one I would like to see is a better tire model. Look at upcoming games such as rfactor 2 tire deformation or iracing 2.0. It's the next big thing in racing games and I feel is a must to stay competitive with the realism the pc sims provide us.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this game, but I also heard somewhere that this game was released 2 years before Kaz wanted it to be, again correct me if I am wrong, though the wait time was rediculous, it is kinda obvious that the game was rushed. I hope when the next game releases, it is what this one should have been.

Ooh and one more thing. Get rid of some of these stupid cars. What would you rather drive a Ferrari or Lambo, or some stupid slow ass car like a fiat 500 or the tank car. Yea some of those cars can be cool but at the same time they are quite dumb imho. Multiple skylines with hardly any differences, civics, etc, not necessary. I would also like more custom exterior options, body kits, rims, wings, in general to give you a more sense of personality per car.

This is just my .02 cents so please criticize what you think (I am pretty resilient so you won't hurt my feelings) or feel free to add. Thanks.

p.s. What are your thoughts on the PP system. I think it should extend into racing tires, suspension upgrades and drivetrain stuff also, not just power. It then makes more strategy in certain divisions. For instance you can run a high horsepower car with less handling vs. less hp cars with more handling in say a 500 pp race class. Just something to think about. Thanks again for reading.

edit: Better crash physics online, especially rollover ones. The rollovers I see now do not look natural at all.

I know it has been stated over & over, but focusing on getting GT5 to the place it should have been on release should be priority #1. Paid DLC for stuff that should have been in game from day 1 (as was touted pre-release).

Don't get me wrong, I like GT5 a lot, but it could have been much better for the time taken to release it ;)

I would like them to fix the Pp system period. Two cars with the same Pp should be very close to matching each others lap times, I mean in the vintage series I run I was running everything at 440Pp, but because the Lancia Stratos and Nissan 240ZG had such an advantage (a second or two a lap) I had to go back rework everything. Also, they need to do something about handling. I've noticed that cornering speed seems to be relative to the tires as opposed to the car. Another example here: Turn 1 at Laguna Seca - Sports softs in my BMW M3 GTR I'm getting 46/47Mph, then when I take the Ginetta G4, a car that is built to take corners, I wind up at...46/47Mph. It's stupid. Same thing goes for race softs there - Camaro Z28 RM 52/54Mph, and my Lexus GT500 car, also 52/54Mph. This game does a horrible job of representing momentum cars that are competitive only because of their great cornering ability, and without some sort of reworking cars like the Ginetta, Caterham 7, Spitfire, and many others will always have a huge disadvantage.

The Toyota7, etc. for the A-Spec historic cup is a perfect example of how that does not work out as you would hope.

Look at how many threads/posts were made due to that one race...

This ^^^

Not to fussed about the DLC part, as there is no point adding new things until they fix whats broken.

Been said many times before, but how about features listed on the back of the box. (Leaderboards and Matchmaking) These are the stand out features that should have been in the game at launch. I'm happy to wait for them to fix the issues with the game first, as it would be pointless and a bad idea to put these features in now. This can probably be said for all other peoples ideas. 👍

I 'd like to see them do a couple of things:

first I'd like to see them more thouroughly represent the American cars - alot of them are missing - like the 442, GTO's Mustangs from the 60's - and I'm sure there are a bunch that I'm missing off the top of my head both forward and backward in time.

The second is a more accurate "model" of the cars actual performance - my experience is in Mustangs and the thing that is GLARINGLY wrong with the present model is the fact that you can't keep the rearend behind you - anyone who's driven the 60's Mustangs will tell you the biggest problem with them was pushing (understeering). There is no way in gods green earth in 3rd gear you can light up the tires and loose the backend of one of those cars even with 500+hp - the physics just don't add up
