Seriously, what the hell is this? It's a cricket of some sort and can jump really far and whatnot.

It appears scary and is sort of like a spider. Seems to be nocturnal as they're always around when I'm awake.

Can it kill me?
What does it eat, so I can make it go away?
There is more than one, so how can I stop them from reproducing?

Warning, mature picture.

I saw this water beetle and nearly fainted with fear....It does look like some kind of beetle.

YES BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW?!

Wait why did you edit your post and put a Headcrab in there, when it wasn't there before, and it makes my post look stupid.

It's not a headcrab as it's not the size of my head.

It's about the size of a Quarter.

Wikipedia
While they have been known to take up residence in the basements of buildings...
Well, you'll have to stop living in your basement then, John! :P

Um, except it’s not. ;)

They’re closely related to crickets, but aren’t crickets. These are wingless.

Quite right. That's it.

I wasn't aware I was living in a cave but.. apparently I am.

So basically I can't ever get rid of them because I have no idea where they're coming from, and all I can do to discourage them from chillin with me is keep the lights on.

YES WHY?!

Also, let's keep this thread on topic. So bugs and head crabs and Half Life.

homemade napalm, don't forget homemade napalm, if you kill them with that then all you have to worry about are all the eggs they probably laid in your large hair

also they are probably there because of all the rice you have lying around since buying Juiced 2

Sticky traps- and lots of them. I bet if you put 10 traps around your room you would find 3-5 of those little bastards on each within a week.

They seem to be pretty common in northern NJ.

Their also really, really fast, in the dark or low light. And if your quick enough to catch one and stomp it, your left with a nice mess.

Completely on topic since we have these cave bugs in common:

Dan why the hell do you never come by?

I bet he thinks you're annoying. :P

Also bugs are annoying as hell when you're trying to sleep and such. :grumpy:
