What the X2012 Would be

Personally I would like a 2012 model Formula GT with possible sticker changes with paints of different manufacturers. If you paint it in any color of said maker, you get the color, some stripes, and the manufacturer logo. That is to say unless you dump Chrome Silver on it and paint the wheels orange, you won't get McLaren.

The X-car series needs to end if we don't get a premium Formula GT. They're fun cars to drive, but it's gonna get waay out of hand if dey keep releasing one each year.

Second Edit: If anything, PD need to release the X10 paint chip, which will convert any car into a car with some Red Bull decals on it.

Premium FGT would be awesome!

If there is one, it should be unlocked at A-spec & B-spec level 41 and cost 20,000,001, and not ever be a prize car, so no-one unlock it nor buy it, and therefore not be able to troll with it online. 👍

Can't see how they'd significantly improve this concept apart from yet another power hike or minor detail changes, so mister Newey I present you the next challenge.
Could you be so kind to try and combine these into one car?

Thanks in advance, will be expecting it on time for the next batch of DLC.

They should make a lighter, less powerful and more environmentally friendly version. After all, having a godzillion horsepowers won't do anyone any good, so if they really want to push the limits of racing through daring concepts, why not use the technology to make it as clean as possible rather than as fast as possible?

Wow. A Eco-conscious racer? Pigs now fly.

Same as last one but small tweaks, more fins, new front nose and a hard top. Simple.

the x2012:

two Dyson Vacuum cleaners hooked up to a V10 engine, spewing out 26,000 RPM, encased in something that looks like this:

X2012 should be 4-wheel drive. Just for fun. It should also have some sort of Automatic, moving aero components.

I personally think that the X2012 will be a further evolution of the X2011, with more advanced aerodynamic tweaks, a KERS-style hybrid system, an F1 inspired DRS system and at least pushing 1550 horsepower

The X2010/2011 are really just modern Formula GT cars (going on the description of the F-GT). In that sense, it's all about the fastest lap time possible around a circuit such as Nurburgring GP, Suzuka, etc.

It's also based around limits (not rules); you can assume parts are made with care given to strength and physics, such as the braces for the front wheel covers (coming from the sides of the nosecone) being relatively chunky, not wafer-thin.

With that in mind, and the target always being lap time, the obvious areas for improvement would be power, downforce and drag.

Downforce could possibly be improved by relocating the exhausts from the top of the sidepods to the underneath of the sidepods, blowing the top of the colossal venturi tunnels between the rears. Though it could be they're just firing them at the swoopy bit of the wing now and abusing the coanda effect.

Not a whole lot you can do with the power given the current configuration. Turn everything up from 10 to 11, I guess, but that's about it without bigger changes.

I don't know why you'd want an AWD version. On tarmac it has no problems, and setup for rally cars is so different you may as well start from a clean sheet with the aero and therefore packaging.

When you have an unlimited budget, you can get some pretty crazy types of carbon fiber.

I've worked on a UAV project with an aircaft that had a nearly 200 ft wingspan, and the wings weighed less than some cars because the composite we used had a ridiculous strength to weight ratio. It was only a middle grade composite as well, they could get even lighter.

The problem with this is that you need to keep your engine revving to have consistent downforce. Inconsistency can be worse than just having lower stable downforce numbers. The fan is also at risk for being very sensitives to bumps and ground clearance changes. The X1 on Nurburgring is probably very inaccurate in GT. They don't even let F1 cars race on the track.

AWD could help with the aero sensitivity, that would hopefully be modeled in future GT games, but it would probably just add weight and complexity that could adversely affect the car. I would rather leave it RWD. I agree that the rally version would be completely different, you probably couldn't have a fan either.

I'll just leave this here...

Just hope it will never exist!
Couldn't have put it any better myself.
A huge Rocket with truck wheels and smaller rockets on he side to turn it. 5 rockets are on the back.

The driver is strapped to the top of it as it reaches 300 Miles per hour on any straight section of road. Requires status of God to drive. It will also have fancy aerodyanmics to make it look like a giant Deltawing.

Cost: 20,000,001 Credits.

There is no need for another X20xx, as the previous two models have messed up the game more than enough.

I have both and my game works fine!

You took it literally. I didn't mean as in physically destroying the game. What I meant is that where ever I go online, the rooms are always flooded with X2010/X2011 models.

 That joke's genius.

I'll be honest, I don't have that issue either; that is unless I join certain types of rooms, where I know I'll come across such "behaviour". *The problem isn't the cars, it's the people; take the X-Wings away, those people would just use something else and be equally annoying.

I should use your internet then, finding X1's online to race against is a chore.

It might have something do with it having 800-1000 PP in a game where LMP's struggle to break 750 PP or the 1500 hp engine that is 200 hp ahead of the next closest engine in power as both PP and power/weight limits make it so cars can be banned from rooms.

It's your own fault if you even see X1's online. Between the PP restrictions, hosts labeling rooms "no X1", and the general rareness of the car online I can't help but think you're exaggerating. And if you weren't it's still your fault. The X1 hasn't impacted anyone's game because it can't.

You could even ignore all of that and hating the X1 would still be ridiculous since it would be much more reasonable to ask for better rules/restrictions for rooms. That is unless you think that people removing features that you enjoy is perfectly acceptable.
