What to do, keep DD Pro or go DD+ pure GT7/PS5

Good morning racers,

I am facing a dilemma. For about 3 months now, I have been playing GT7 on the PS5 with great pleasure using a Fanatec DD GT Pro with boost kit. In the meantime, I have already changed the steering wheel to the Fanatec Clubsport RS and replaced the brake pedal with the Load Cell brake. I have become quite addicted to "sim" racing. However, I play and will continue to play Gran Turismo purely and exclusively, hence the following question.

Now, I tried the Fanatec Porsche Vision steering wheel; I liked the shape, but not the rest for the price, so I sent it back (it wasn't a Clubsport wheel either). So I thought it might be nice to get the Formula V3 steering wheel as well. But with that money, I could also say that for now I'll stick with the Clubsport RS wheel because I'm quite happy with it, but I'm going to replace the base with the Clubsport DD+.

The question is, is this worth it if you only play Gran Turismo on PS5, and in-game I actually never use more than Force Feedback setting 5? Or should I just happily keep using the GT DD Pro and get the Formula V3 steering wheel as well?

Ultimately, I can just do both, of course, but not at the same time. It's mainly about what's best for me to do right now and whether going from the DD Pro to the DD+ is actually an upgrade in my usage scenario.

PS: I typed this using Google Translate, so please forgive me if there are errors in the text, but I think it's fairly accurate. Thanks in advance for your replies; I'm curious to hear what you guys think.

If your question is wheel/rim or wheelbase first, I would go with wheels & rims first: with a single wheel you can't compare if there is something missing in the feedback or not. If you notice that with one of the wheels there is something missing look for the stronger wheelbase next.
About the "is it worth it" part: only you can tell. I'm happy with the gt dd pro with the wheels I have and I wait on a deal (35% or more) on the dd+ and the podium 3 pedal set :D

I was previously on the DD Pro w boost kit and then after a year or so went to the DD+ because the Pro felt just a bit underpowered to me

While I’m not running the DD+ at 100% I found it a huge improvement over the Pro/8nm in overall feel and general performance and Full Force in GT7 is a definite add in immersion - feels flat w/o

However the DDPro now got a bump in nm and Full Force is promised “later this year” so maybe the difference is much closer now for you

I already had the 918 RSR - which is now the CS and a great round wheel - and the Formula V2 so its nice to have that variety

I still think the DD+ is the better base to end up w but for now the Formula wheel sounds maybe like it offers a bit more value to you

DD Pro and CSL DD are not getting a Nm boost. They will remain at their current 5/8Nm force levels.

However, as you mentioned Full Force IS coming to those wheelbases at some point in future.

The logitech system? I would consider that a "downgrade" :D
Not the wheelbase (it's also 8NM) or wheel itself but the ecosystem: with fanatec you have more options for accessories (handbrakes, shifters, wheels/rims) or different pedal sets at different price/quality/adjustability levels
(+ the fanatec dd wheelbases support side mounting)

Yes, you're probably right. I think I'll just leave it like this for now. I am satisfied with the pedals with load cell. The steering wheel too. The Clubsport RS steering wheel as well. I changed some steering wheel settings yesterday; I actually had everything on automatic, and that feels a bit better now, I must say. Although I do find the internet a bit unclear regarding what the best settings would be. I'm going to order the Formula V3 wheel just to get a sort of GT3 experience, because unfortunately they don't really have a Clubsport GT3 wheel at the moment other than the one with the hub. But I don't want the hub, because I don't think swapping steering wheels that way works either.
