Sometimes when I do Special Events, especially the Vettel one, I feel so frustrated and angry when I'm so close to getting Gold.
What I do is just hold my anger in, but this affects my lap times.
Sometimes I want to break my wheel, but I still love it :)
Any suggestions on what to do?

Take a break and do something else within the game or just take a break from the game as a whole...

walk away and take a breather.

not worth destroying your equipment over.

I have had some anger issues in the past and I've broken an arcade stick one day playing Street Fighter.

arcade sticks are not cheap by any means...

not worth it. really.

just walk away, take a breather, go do something else for a little bit, then come back to it.

you'll be more focused and probably drive better for it.

Give your B-spec bobs a chance to screech their tires to bits on the track. Thier failures will make you feel better about your own abilities.

-Open the door
-Get on the floor
-Everybody walk the dinosaur.

It helps if you have your iPod with you.

This is what I started doing after my second controller died by rage.
Use your new controller/wheel, but keep an old/broken controller next to it, so you can smash it when you're frustrated. It's saving me money now! :-)

The simple two-step plan to relaxation:

1) Call your girlfriend.
2) Get it on.

Stress relieved. Repeat as necessary.

Press the power button on your TV remote. Then when you're ready to play with pixels again, press the power button on your TV remote once more, and GT5 will be set to go on your TV screen.

Send it to me. I will help you teach it a lesson, the i will return it....I promise. 👍

Umm, well I threw my controller at the arm of my couch as hard as I could. A bit of duct tape later it's fine, but I do not recommend taking this approach... lol

Honestly, if you get mad ebough at a video game to brake stuff, you should really consider an anger management therapy

Like others have suggested, when you get angry take a break.
I know for me after taking a break, i always race better when i come back.

Taking a break does help for most... But what I do is just analyze what I can improve, and work on it slowly as needed.

Practicing icy-cool throttle control and earlier (still late however) braking, even if it means slower times, calm my mind. Sounds weird, but it doesn't put me on edge so much... That's just me however.

Throw puppies at babies. Yeah, it seems like a mean thing to do, but the cuteness overload upon impact will make you feel a lot better, and bring a smile to your face.
