Hi friends!
I've got a million to buy a great racing car..
I'm in the day 950..
I'm searching for a minolta, a sauber..or others in the used car shops..but still nothing..
which car may I buy to win the GTworld champ?how long do I have to wait to buy a good car for it?

No you can't. You need to win the 24 Hours of Nurburgring to win an F1 car, then you need to win the World Championships in Professional Hall to unlock Extreme. The Sauber can then be won from the Formula GT Championship. It never appears in the used car lots, nor does the Minolta (which you have to win from El Capitan). The only LMPs are the "all-black" carbon fibre ones that appear froms days 694-700. All others cost 3.5 to 4.5 million credits.

I suggest you either keep saving until you can get one of thses babies, or invest it in a DTM car or the Viper Team Oreca.

Spend it on road cars. The only race car I had to buy was an Audi touring car for the german touring car races, and I am sure if I looked through the car prize lists I could have avoided a way to do that too. Otherwise, if it's unavoidable, buy that. 450000 credits.

Now that's what I call a waste of money, you could enter that series with a pricecar (as you mentioned). For completing the Schwarzwald Liga you win a Merc touring car which you can use for the German Touring Car Race series.

But, that Audi is a very nice car, and I always buy the cars I like and can't win. So if you like it and have the money to spare: buy it, if you're short on money don't.

I've reached 2 millions..and I decided to buy a lmp saving other 2,5 millions..which one is the best buy?
ps: during the week from 694 and 700 a all-black never appeared in used cars..now I'm aprrox at day 1000..when can I find others?

get in a decent car (prefrably a race car with sport tyres) and do the elcapitan endurance race youll get the minolta then you can use that to win the gt world champ. it worked well for me. and you wont even have to spend a penny.
sorted

Or take your million, buy a Gillet Vertigo, tune it fuly and you have a car thats 950ish BHP and weighs the same as an Elise.

The easiest way to win the World GT Champion if that's what you want, all you need to do is to compete in El Captain endurance race and use the prize car (Minolta 88C) to compete in World GT. You should be able to win no problem. Save your money for something better.

Hey rovens and doom4585, the Gillet Vertigo is really a piece of crap. It might have 940 horsepower and weigh only 840 kg, but it has next to NO downforce. So high horsepower and little downforce: not a good combination.

There's three used car lots so make sure you go to either Late 90's (GT-One and R390) or Early 90's (787B and R92CP) jsut keep an eye out for them, they're the ones with the enormous price tags.

And if you missed them, I'm afraid you'll have to wait again.

And on stock gearing it tops out at 320km/h. Not good when the opposition can easily do 350+. 👎

Get any DTM car and win the money back right away in the DTM championship. Do it over a couple of times to win that Pescarolo.

Listen to the man. This is the best advice in the thread, but you'll need to win the DTM championship several times (in B-Spec mode its very fast and easy) to buy, not "win" either of the Pescarolos.

I'd advise getting the Opel Astra for the DTM championship, and it will become a huge moneymaker for you.

I'd say the Mercedes is a better option. Buy a car to enter and win Schwarzwald Liga B (European race). Take the M-B prize car and win the Legend of the Silver Arrow (Mercedes dealer race). Take this prize car MB CLK touring car tune it to the max. B-Spec the German Touring Car series. Sell the MB CLK-GTR Race Car. This whole process will net you over 1 million. Repeat the last part as often as you like.

If you want a challenge, take the BMW LMP and keep it in stock (ie don't tune it except for R1 tyres) then take it to the GTWC. 142 points per race.

Any of the DTM cars will win the series with just an oil change. Im sure you win the mercedes E190, the Alfa, the AMG and the Calibra, though I havent used the Calibra yet. The E 190 will give you between 111 and 150 A spec points and isnt that hard to do. The Alfa is a bit twitchy but seems to be slightly faster than the A4 or TTs, although the Audis seem much more settled on the road. I found the Opel Astra to be quite a good car, and I'll be testing it this afternoon, might do a write up on the DTM cars then.

As for LMP cars I found the BMW to suit my style, and in it Ive gove 2 seconds faster around Midfield than I could with the R8. The Pescarolo Judd seems pretty fast too.

i suggest testing them all at the 'ring and seeing how much you can worsen it before it becomes unwinnable 👍 since even the Evo II can get into first about a minute in

lol People say you get a Sauber from the Grand valley Enduro but you simply dont ! you get an Audi. the Sauber comes from Formula GT world

And if you want a minolta any half decent car on B spec mode will win the El Capitan Enduro for you in no time 👍

Question : And Because i missed the black cars in day 600~ odd i am in day 1000~ and was wondering if they would come round again??? :nervous:

Minolta 88C-V and keep it stock except for the tires (r1 back r2 front).. Yes it's an overrated car but it is good.. Specially if in the GT World you would encounter the AI driving a Minolta and is in the frst place (qualify and it's not that much fun, start at 6th and it's a nice close race).. I remember winning at Hongkong Reverse at about 1.15 second lead over the other 88C-V..

Personally, I think the best car you can buy is the BMW V12. In my quasi-scientific testing it beats all the other cars except Formula One and the Minolta.

Well, after looking at my spreadsheet, I was wrong. The Audi R8 beats the V12. But, I think either is a good bet.

..ok..so we have..1point for audi r8..and 1 for minolta..0 for pescarolo..
vote please!!

mine is for the pescarolo, just ahead of the R8, unlike the minolta you can tune em up a bit and still have tires at the end of the race....
