get one of those ridiculous historic cars if you are into collecting. Most things that cost that much in the game are not really competitive in racing modes apart from the x1. the ferrari f1 cars in the NCD look fun but you cannot use them in A-spec or B-spec. I wish I had that much money.

Mercedes Sauber C9, Nissan R92CP Race car and the BMW V12 LMR is the cars I would pay attention to.
Chaparral 2J and 2D.
Any of the Pescarlo race cars.
The Peugeot 905, very nice buy.
McLaren F1 GTR race car.
Nissan R390 GT1 race car.
Also any of the Audi R8's.

There are others aswell...

My car count stands at 560 but I don't feel like buying just to improve my collection. I am now researching cars more to understand there subtle differences. Now I concentrate on finding low power great performing automobiles, not an easy task. I also revisit previous purchases and start tuning and re-tuning to make what I have even better. This game's goal in my mind is a progression of performance and ultimately extreme fun which so far seems endless. Enjoy!

It's a very good LMP car, not the fastest in a straight line untuned, but very good handling. It's my favourite of the LMP's. The Sauber C9 is possibly the best of the bunch, but I find it almost too easy.

You could go for the ford mark iv or ferrari 330 p4, which are both 20M, personally I prefer to have peugeot 908, mazda 787b etc. all LMP's are great IMO.
