I got GT5 today and I'm gonna start playing tomorrow. Who knows what car should I start off in A-Spec?

An older miata is a good choice and it's fairly balanced for easy driving one might be in the ucd

Well you'll have to buy a car from the UCD and because you'll just be starting the game you'll have to buy a low horsepower car such as a Mazda Miata or an old Honda Civic, so there's really not a wide variety of cars you can obtain from the start considering you have to be a certain level to buy and drive certain cars but just keep working at it for ones that you really want.

Welcome to GTPlanet by the way bladeking187. 👍

You can buy a Miata or a Honda Civic from the Mazda or Honda dealerships maybe others for under 20,000 cr. Idk

A Skyline GTS-t type M. Around 220 HP and it's a FR. Plus how could you go wrong with a Skyline? You just have to get lucky enough for it to show up.

No, you have to spend all the money. That way you will get the trophy penniless. If you don`t do that now and you want to collect that trophy later on, you probably have to spend 20.000.000 on 1 car.

Welcome and enjoy its a cracking game. Go do the licences first they will teach you to drive correctly and on the way you will win loads of cars then go buy and fully tune the Ferrari 458 and go race le-sarthe in the seasonalls to level you up quickly with xp and credits. if you need to borrow any cars that are very expensive or need further advice PM me and i can loan you most of the good cars.

Trophy Guide - Penniless
Spend every last Credit you have
Extremely easy if done at the start. Various methods exist - I bought a Premium Eunos Roadster (19,000) and bought an ECU upgrade for it (1,000), but there are more circuitous ways of doing it.

The Eunos Roadster is great fun and pretty darn competitive for the early races if you gradually upgrade it as you earn more cash.

Spend all your money to get the trophy. Then start your special events where you'll get good cash quickly. Then buy a Ferrari & go to the online seasonals where you can earn huge credits & experience with it very quickly. Then you can pretty much buy whatever you want.

There is no A-Spec in GT5... just some poser trinket races.. until you get up to Lemans and Nurb 24h...

OP take no notice of this noob. There are 45 different series in A-spec some with as much as 6 races per series all before you reach the endurance events and another 9 in there. Also there are well over 100 races in the seasonalls, Now ive not counted every race but there must be at least 250 races and that doesnt cover B-spec licences or special events. So dont listen to the knockers in here saying there is not enough content.

Oh and i forgot there is a !make series of races for every course in the practice section and also even more options on that in the arcade section, bit of a wild quess as not on GT5 at the moment but i would think well in ecxess of 600 types of events.

Plus online racing.

if you don't have any cars, just buy whatever one fits the requirments of your first a-spec races (the sunday cup I think?)
first car I bought was a suziki swift '07, it did well enough to win, and make some money.
the liscence tests are a good idea too, they provide the car you drive, and you can win more cars/trucks if you complete them.

This will ruin part of the game. It`s more rewarding if you make steady progress through the a-spec series. You will learn to appreciate the different speed classes of the cars more.

If you follow Jaywalkers advice the third car you buy can be the Formula Gran Turismo. And that is ridiculous. Even with the need for speed games this will not happen.

The makers of this game should not allow this. You should only get the amounts of credits and xp when you`re a-spec level 25. When lower than you should get less of both. For instance when level 1 the rewards should be low, when level 24 the rewards should be almost as much as they are now.

This grinding is way too tempting to resist if you just started to play the game but i`m glad i only started to do the seasonals after i did the extreme series. If i had known about the high paying seasonals i would have definitely turned to the dark side.

I started with a Mistubishi FTO from the Used Car Dealership, and used it for most of the first series of A-Spec races with practically no mods.

I've found a Vitz/Yaris Turbo in my UCD every time I've started that I always buy, it's great for quite a few races, and tuned well can go pretty far.

I started with a Roadster and now I'm level 10 in A-Spec and level 3 in B-Spec so far.
By the way if anyone wants to race add me

I just started doing Licence Tests... as I usually do at the start of any GT game. Then I use the cars I win from there to do the first A-spec races. I'll start buying cars when I need to, but generally I try and and save money for the cars I really want to drive. Like today I bought myself a Lamborghini countach 25th Anniversery Edition :) Awesome car to drive.
