I got the DFGT as my first wheel. Got the wheel stand pro and gran turgismo paddle shifters. I absolutely loved it, takes a while to get used to but when you do you are much, much faster than with a controller. Everything is just so much better.
BUT compared to a T500 the DFGT is just as good as a controller.
When I went to GTA national finals I used the T500, first time using a wheel other than DFGT, and it screwed me over. The T500 is on another level. The difference between the T500 and the DFGT is the same as the DFGT versus a DS3.
My advice is save the pennies and wait to get a T500, you certainly won't regret spending that money.
