It is a question I've had the urge to ask as I myself have divulged into a multitude of different types of races but only find comfort and success in a few. So GTPlanet racers - IMHO the Cleanest GT5 Driving Community, what type of online racing do you race most on?

Of course if I've omitted any kind of race or if you race a different type, feel free to post :)

Also, if anyone runs a GTP Shuffle Online Racing Series, please PM me. I haven't seen one but I'd love to join if there is one or someone is planning one.
 
Shuffle races, because I got sick of selecting a car and tuning it to meet specific regulations, only for my connection to time out before the race starts. The online features in GT5 are very disappointing (Only been online with it for about 2 weeks). Ontop of that the rewards for racing online are very poor, which means I rarely bother unless I want some good close racing which the AI can't provide.

Shuffle races are fun though, evenly matched road cars and the fact they aren't racing cars means a lot of the dirty drivers tend to avoid this race type.

Same here. Though I do think this is the sort of thing reserved for the premium sections at the top... If anyone is running a series please pm the info :) I'd love to race with other GTP guys.
 
I love PP restricted races on the 'Ring. It's where most of the clean drivers are too, so you don't get people ramming you on purpose and no one driving the wrong way on the track just to hit you head on, because I usually do 1 lap races there. :)
 
Car specific races, mainly only race cars. I don't know when was the last time I used a street car.
 
Races that I'm looking for are restricted below 600 PP with tuned or touring cars. Then also FGTs and karts are very nice but the first one is hard to find every time. Nascar is fun too if I want nobrain cruising.
 
Cars not so much an issue as "company". I have had beautiful races with 50 HP cars and crap races with high HP.

To me the thrill of the pursuit is more enjoyable. If you drive with morons that thrill dissipates quickly.

Racing cars of the exact same type tends to be fun for me. Its more about driving skill than tuning/car advantage as you are all running IROC's...lol.
 
400pp till 500pp street cars on comfort soft. Love it.
 
I've been hosting Same Car rooms recently, and they are AWESOME!

We run no aids, no boost, and light damage. It produces amazing and epic races every time.

We did 20 laps of Grand Valley East - Reverse, and had 6 cars finish within 1 second. That kind of finish is not really an aberration either. Get clean drivers, use same car, get amazing racing.
 
Hmm, no drag racing or rallying? I tend to see a lot of players that are only committed to drag racing and I have participated in a few rally races online.

NASCAR racing is perhaps the most popular online activity for a lot of players. So I chose that one. I spend a lot of my time racing in NASCAR.
 
I like drift races so I can see what others are best at. You can see different styles and lines.
 
Shuffle racing is the best, however I wish their was a few different carsets.
 
Touring car races so that comes under BHP I guess or PP. But I do like a clean race at Le Mans.
 
Almost exclusively NASCAR.

X2010 races are an absolute fustercluck :lol:
 
I usually just end up in those chill rooms where you just show off or trade, share tips, that thing etc.
 
Shuffle and same car is fun... Or evo vs sti and such races are also fun!
 
I rather like league races organized here.... so much more fun.

I've done my share of online racing but lately I've been hooked in Viper/Vette/Enzo racing at Daytona Superspeedway.
 
I've always been addicted to touge style street racing. :P
 
A good shuffle room never disappoints me online
 
I just like free run. People are too big of assholes to race with online.
 
PP Restricted are always fun, and it becomes even better when you have people from your country (aka brazilians) to play with (no real friends, as I'm the only one that REALLY like cars)
