What was the name of that game?

For some reason, I started thinking about a game that I'd read about a while back, but now I can't remember anything about it, except this one tidbit:

I don't remember anything about the story, but I remember that the main character was clinically insane. And that there was some sort of "sanity meter", that, when depleted, would affect the gameplay.. where the environment would change to reflect the character's instability, making it more difficult to complete the level. Walls would move, you'd be fighting enemies that weren't really there, etc.

What the hell game am I thinking of? I want to say it was a PS2 game, but I'm not 100% sure, so I figured I'd post it here, so it'll apply to whatever platform it was actually on.

The only game I can think of with a "sanity meter" is Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for the Gamecube. Never played it, but I heard of some of the amusing (in)sanity effects and researched it a bit a while back.

Some of the best ones were the ones that broke the fourth wall, like the fake disc read error, or the fake save data deletion, or the rebooting of an Xbox game?

Hopefully this is the right game. :)

Ah-HA!! Gamecube... that's why I couldn't find it under searches for PS2 games.. And I did recall the name "Requiem", but I couldn't remember if that was actually it or not, and it didn't show any results under PS2 searches.

Yep, that's the one! Thanks!!

Lucky for me, I happen to have a Gamecube downstairs.... and the game supports widescreen and pro-scan. Oh, yeah... gimme. :)
