What was your last meal of 2003?

I made a couple of burgers with oregano, basil and thyme, and served them with boiled charlotte potatoes covered in melted butter and lemon juice.

Over the course of the evening I consumed a bottle of Brown Brothers Merlot, and then most of a bottle of port. Don't know what kind it was, it was in a decanter.

Well aren't we eating well, sounds delicious, much much better than mine (which you could hardly call a meal) oh well

Did you decant the wine properly? I hope not. The sediment on the bottom of a bottle of Port is the best part.

I didn't do it, my host did. I would assume he did it correctly though. He's quite anal about such matters.

I try to ensure that we have a reasonably balanced diet. Wife is picky about what she eats though, so it can be difficult.

Well, the last thing I ate in 2003 was some of those Jalapeno Poppers that are fried with cheese. Those things are good.
