What will you do after beating GT5?

I've been buying a lot of cars in the used dealership. Anything that looks interesting, and just racing it wherever. Been playing around with the track creator a bit.

Dead Space 2 is pre-ordered, and I've got Enslaved Odyssey To The West that I haven't started on yet.

It's never beaten, even if they sort out time trial leader boards like in prologue and you're sat at the top, you're gonna wake up some mornings and find you're now number 2 and have to get back on it.

When I completed GT4 to 100%, I started doing races again to earn money. Bought cars, tuned them, did Time Trials and just tried to perfect my driving. I didn't get to 100% and then think "Time to buy a new game..."

It'll be the same with GT5.

Take a few laps around the earth in my hover car and read the latest news about hell freezing over.

After I'm done with all a-spec and b-spec, I'll probably buy the wheel so I can gold all the trophies. Then I'll just keep collecting cars and playing online. I'll also get Black Ops to start something new.

I'll never finish it as I don't have any urge to complete it, at the moment, at least. I, however, stopped to actually progress through GT5's career mode, or am almost there.
Either way, once there, I'll just do the ussual: Buy cars, upgrade/tune them and hotlappingg.

I'll probably spend more time with other games again, as well. My current long-term gaming plans looks a lot like this: GT5 + replaying old SNES stuff, then move on to Diablo III. Pick up GT6 once released. That should do until ~2013, I think.

At 94%+ Game Completition now, so will just be online with my Local buds, plus perhaps trying to collect every car.

How do you beat GT5? its the same as saying "how do you beat Rfactor", which has no single player campaign. Its a driving simulator, you just play it. Its not a game that you play until you complete the challenge content and then move on.

I love cars and racing, and this is the best way for me to cheaply satisfy my desire for both. I will continue to race in A-Spec, seasonal events, and online.

I will collect all the different coloured FGT cars, start doing the time trial modes and start going online :) plus hopefully still be doing seasonal events!

As long as seasonal events keep coming, you would not be able to truly beat GT5.

GT5 is not really a game to be "completed", you can find new ways to challenge your self.

I'll never finish with it , they'll allways be something I can do with the Game .

Main Ambition is to Improve my Driving Skills , that'll take a few years all by itself

Plus i'll Re-start on another Account and try and use Different Cars .

Then there the Online Element aswell .plenty to keep me busy and i'll have at least 250 Cars to (screw up) Tune .

IMO, I've already "beaten" everything I want to beat. And I don't really see myself getting truly bored of this game unless I get bored of driving sims altogether, which isn't going to happen. GT5 is quite an enjoyable driving experience, I put in 3 hours yesterday just tuning my '08 Garaiya and running lap times on Nordschleife.

But despite all that, when or if it gets dull, there's always F1 2010 which I haven't played yet. I'm trying to hold off because the thought of doing seasons in an F1 car seems like something that could get me into a lot of trouble at home, lol. :)

I'm more curious to see what PD are planning to keep people interested considering the huge list of competent other racers coming out in 2011... If they don't keep the updates coming then not many will be around by the time gt academy airs...

Gt has always been a bar and these days it's not a question of how they what they do but more a question if a developer wants stay the formula or build on it.

Even iPhone has done a commendable job replicating the formula...

It's a real buyers market now and we all are going to enjoy it :) but sadly not all of the games series will survive.

When I have gt5 has finished I will emerge from my man cave, blinking at the lights wonder how the world has changed in the last 6 months, shave of my long entangled beard. ;)

Nah really I'll carry on playing gt5 with the time trials and play other games aswell.

I won't ever finish the game 100% cause of those dang endurance races, but also because I would probably get bored of GT5 before I finish 100%.

YOU NEVER GET BORED OF GT5 :grumpy: ITS SOOO AWESOME!!!

AHHH MY LIFE HAS BEEN WASTED:grumpy:

Same as everyone. The end is only the beginning. 👍

I feel the same, trying beating the game (not sure I'll ever will though with some of the Special Events) or better put, progressing through it is my main goal right now.
After that, the fun really starts for me, especially now with online.
There are 2 stages of any GT game which to me are the most fun, the first time you start with 10,000 credits and a whole automotive world to explore and once the game is more or less completed and I can start to relax and buy and drive cars casually and just enjoy the content.
And now with a comprehensive online-component the real racing starts there too for me hopefully as nothing beats a real human opponent (well, sometimes at least...).

Race online, race alone, open lapping, create tracks, etc.

GT has never been a game I play to finish, rather, I finish the game to acquire money and to gain access to everything I may need for the next few years. Once the game is complete, the fun starts.

My Intentions exactly. :)
