Austin Powers?

I plan to do many things: go bungee-jumping, become starting QB for a semi-pro or Arena football team, attend Skip-Barber Driving School, become a millionare, and play in a pre-season game with the Montreal Canadiens.

1. Write list
2. Go to space.
3. Go to the Nürburgring.
4. Bring a car.
- EDIT: This includes actually driving a lap on the 'Ring.
5. Drive a Ferrari (F355, preferably).
6. Write a letter to my future self, discussing current events.

That's pretty much it so far...

Own a Porsche 930, Own a Ferrari, drive on the Nordschleife, have a 5 car garage (filled with nice cars of course) That's pretty much it automotive wise, as for other things, there are just too many

I plan to live. I can't say for sure what individual things I'd like to do because the list would go on forever.
When I'm coming to my end I want to be able to say that I've no regrets and lived life to the fullest all the time. So far I'm doing it pretty well.
The problem I face is living to the max and really 'living' life is the it might shorted it.
So, yeah, partying a lot, drinking, smoking and doing crazy things like sky diving and trying opium will satisfy my craving to live life to the max but could also affect the length it lasts.
Really the one thing I want before I die is children to continue in my stead. Watch this space (I'm working on it).

1. Go to the Nurburgring at least once
2. Fly a hang glider
3. Drive a boat (already done:D)
4. Fly on an old Russian jet (like those Tupolev Tu-134's etc)
5. Drive a super car, or at least be a passenger in one
6. Own an ultralight aircraft which can land on water
7. But most importantly for me: land a job as a pilot for one of our seaplane operators:drool:

1. I would hope to be successful with my band
2. Drive around the Nurburgring in an Audi R8 V8
3. Live a life - that's all I've wanted - and that's all I've gotten (sorry, just a musical reference)
4. Getting married... PROPERLY, not in Vegas.
5. Travel the world across the many seas (sorry, I like making musical reference... Coincidentally, that reference was from the same song as the first)
6. Punch over someone from the paparazzi 👍
7. Own a Dodge Viper GTS
8. Drop a piano on a Morris Marina
9. And do it again
10. And again
11. And another just to make sure
12. At least touch a Porsche 906, and a Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca from 2002
13. Go to an Iron Maiden concert (hopefully they come to NZ again)
14. Go to a Judas Priest concert (hopefully they come to NZ on the Epitaph world tour)
15. Watch a Dream Theater (hopefully they come to NZ)
16. And finally, be successful and get a chance to rub it in everyone who's ever picked on me's face :sly:

1. Succeed in living long enough to accomplish everything mentioned herein
2. Get my degree and get into my chosen field
3. Drive long enough to get a clean record and lower insurance rates
4. Get married to an amazing wife and have an awesome family
5. Become Prime Minister of Canada
6. Start of a company that specializes in building full-scale, flying replicas of WW2 vintage aircraft
7. Get my Pilot's license
8. Cross the Atlantic on one of the Cunard Queens
9. Visit Europe
10. Own as many cars as my future wife will allow me to!:sly:
11. Makes sure at least some of those cars are AMCs
12. Become a grandparent
13. Own a large swath of property away from the buzz of the city
14. Acquire the world's best collection of car brochures
15. Just collect a ton of stuff in general...
16. Leave the future generations of my family financially well-off.
17. Drive a race car - not picky about what type
18. Design and build my own concept car - I'll only need one: I don't plan on selling it!

20. Live long enough to see the release of GT6
21. Live long enough to see the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup
22. Become an amateur photographer
23. Stoke interest and passion for history among young kids

This list is definitely not complete, and probably horribly out of order, but you get the general idea....

...

Hmm, things I plan to do before I die:

1. Get a university education
Well on its way, should happen.

2. Get an engineering job at a world known company
That's going to happen if I keep at my life the way I need to, no sweat.

3. Get enough money so I don't have to worry about feeding a family.
Number. One. We're pretty well off compared to the rest of the 7 billion out there, but eating is actually reasonably difficult. I don't want to have to worry.

4. Make a family
I think I'd be a great father, personally. This whole business about a family, though, is probably due to my father dying when I was seven, I'd like to give that chance I never had to my own kids.

5. Make a car company
A bit off the rails, potentially impossible. Failing that:

5.5. Become CEO of an established car company
All I really want to do is get a car I truly love from brainchild to road.

6. Own some dream cars
Nothing too much, but something like a Sileighty, a cool little European hot hatch, those things. Maybe indulge in a Lambo if I get the money.

7. Drive some dream cars
Hell, I'll be somewhat famous in the auto world if I become CEO, I think someone would let me behind the wheel of a Ferrari.

8. Not die
We're approaching a climax of human potential via biology, and seeing as I am a transhumanist, I believe firmly that there's going to be a point in time when I'll be able to upload my brain into a computer. I hope to live long enough to do so.

That's the really important lot.

Maybe this thread should be renamed to, "What would you like to do before you die?". I mean come on, go to space? Design and build a concept car? Become Prime Minister of Canada? These sound more like dreams than plans.

Just sayin.

Well, I'm currently going through for Political Science - I just finished my first year. Bit by bit, I think I can get there - I was dead serious with the Prime Minister thing - the concept car thing maybe not so much!:sly:

Ultimate moral of the story - Never give up! My goal is to turn my dreams into reality - and it never hurts to dream big...

Oh I forgot 2 things. I'd like to attend University and become a Financial Accountant and earn a good living. Going to be hard to do, my family doesn't have much money and school is very difficult right now. I have to keep my head up and work my a:censored: off.

Well, just remember that a little hard work can go a long way! I think people have a better appreciation for what they get in life if they have to work to get where they want to go instead of having everything handed to them. It never hurts to have a sense of humility in life.... but you'll get there! Just keep at it one step at a time, and you'll be ok!

Hard work improves all people - it's something that all people should need and want to experience at some point in their lives.

-Start a family and lead a good life as a well-off person of society.
-Be able to change the ideals of the lower groups for the better of the world.
-Visit Circuit de la Sarthe and pay my respects to the racers who have succeeded in following the dream of being a race driver.

Backflip a Ford Transit van.

Kidding, I'd much rather live a normal life and then die of an old age like most people normally desire. I would never be cool as James Dean but hey, each to their own.

Thanks AMCNUT, it never hurts to have a little motivation. And you're right, it always feels better to get something because you worked hard for it, not because someone handed it to you.
