Welcome to the WHat's Cruise and Cops Club. In this club you'll be able to join lobbies in Gran Turismo 6 for cops, cruising, pursuits, and track days.

COPS

Summary

Cops is a game mode where there are cops and civilians driving around a track as realistically as possible. When a civilian speeds, drives recklessly, disrupting traffic flow, etc. a cop will pull them over. If the suspect does not stop, a pursuit will initiat. Some roleplay is recommended.

Tracks

The only tracks that are allowed to be used during the game mode COPS are:
Cote D'Azur (Monaco)*, Special Stage Route 5 (SSR5), Clubman Stage Route 5 (CSR5), Circuit de La Sarthe (La Sarthe)**, Eiger Nordwand (Eiger), Rome (Rome)*, Circuit de Madrid (Madrid)*, and Tokyo R246 (Tokyo)*, Ascari Full Track (Ascari), and Willowsprings Big Willow (Willowsprings)***.

*These tracks may have crosswalks on, depending on the mood
When crosswalks are on, you must complete a full stop before driving by a crosswalk.

The speed limit for each track will decided when the track is finished loading.
The track must change, unless voted against, every one hour.

**Each chicane is a toll. You must drive through the tire walls and do a complete stop only on the second toll.

***New in GT6, we're allowed to go off the main track! All side roads that are connected to the main track are allowed to be used. All new "intersections" will have a stop sign. You must stop completely before continuing. The large "parking lot" at the south-east part of the track is also allowed to be used as a parking lot.

Police

The Police's role is to protect and serve. To be on duty you must say the following in chat and then enter the GTPD Radio:

"Unit ### is on duty"

To be off duty you must say the following in chat and then exit GTPD Radio:

"Unit ### is off duty"

When an officer sees an offender breaking a law, he/she must first honk his/her horn. If the offender doesn't stop, a pursuit will initiate. When an officer pulls the offender over you must write a ticket in the in game chat and in the Police Radio. Once the offender gets a total of 3 tickets, they must change cars. They will not be allowed to change back to that car until the track changes. When the offender changes cars, their tickets will not carry over. All tickets must be posted in the in game chat and in the GTPD Radio chat. When writing a ticket please use this format:

"PSN/GTP Username or GT6 Name: X/3 *reason*"

When in pursuit of an offender for longer then 10 minutes, once they get busted, they'll automatically receive 3 tickets. When an offender drives into the pits, they'll automatically receive one ticket.

Gran Turismo Police Department Radio

A chat room will be made called: Official GTPD Radio. If you are a cop, you must be invited to this chat room. Whenever you're an on duty cop, you must join the chat room. So please do not delete this chat room on the XMB. There WILL NOT be a chat room for specific days.

Civilians

The role of a Civilian is to be a civilian. You must drive around the track realistically. You are advised to drive normal everyday cars (Examples: Mazda Atenza Sport 25Z '07, Nissan SKYLINE Sedan 350GT Type SP '06, etc.). But you may drive sportscars and supercars. When you speed, drive recklessly, or something else, a cop will pull you over and give you a ticket. Once you recieve 3 tickets you must change cars and you are never allowed to use that car until the track changes.

CRUISING

Cruising will be a mode where we cruise as a group around a check at a steady pace for pleasure. Depending on the mood, there may or may not be a theme.Examples of themes are:

Sedans, Hot hatches, non-supercar Italian cars, American Muscle, JDM, etc.

Tracks
We'll be cruising on Special Stage Route X (SSRX)*, Special Stage Route 7 (SSR7), Nurburgring Nordschleife (Nurb), and Matterhorn.

SSRX will have a speed limit of 80 mph. We'll meet at 1000m mark and wait until everyone is there. Depending on behavior and mood, the tunnel on the back stretch will be unrestricted. When the road turns into an orange color, that means you're in the tunnel. Do not speed outside of the tunnel. Slow down as quickly as possible once out of the tunnel. We'll cruise until we enter the pits and say how much liters you used.
Please use this format:

"Car Name: #L"

SSR7 will have a speed limit of 70 mph. We'll meet at the first hairpin and wait until everyone is there. When we get to the tunnel, everyone must merge into the right lane. The left lane must remain open. You may leap frog around people in the tunnel using the left lane. Once we're at the second hairpin, we must wait for everyone to catch up. Then someone (a moderator or me) will say go and we'll continue the cruise until we reach the Start/Finish (S/F).

On SSRX and SSR7, we'll drive steadily using only the middle and right lanes. You must keep the left lane open at all times. You may only use the left lane in emergencies. The lobby host and I will lead the pack (one of us will be in the middle lane and the other will be in the right lane). When you fall behind, you may speed to catch up. You must use the left lane to do that. Once you've caught up, safely merge into the middle lane. When switching lanes, please lean toward the lane you want to merge into and carefully merge into said lane. When you see someone wanting to merge into your lane, please let them. Please use your Blind Spot Indicators to avoid accidents.

Nurb will have a speed limit of 50 mph. We'll meet right outside the pits. When we go, it'll be two single file lines. Do not merge into the other line.

Matterhorn will have a speed limit of [WIP]

Once we're at the meeting place, someone will say go (it'll be either a moderator or me). Do not tail gate or bump draft people (Don't be an Audi driver).

PURSUITS

A pursuit is when everyone in the lobby is a cop, except one person, the street racer. The goal is for the Street Racer to evade the cops.

Tracks

Only one track will be uses: Circuit de la Sarthe (with chicanes). The street racer must drive through the chicanes similar to when it's cops. The starting pointing at the "Restaurant - Bar" parking lot (road in front of "Restaurant - Bar") (Tetre Rouge) and the finish line will be at the beginning of the Porsche Curve.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/ba/Circuit_de_la_Sarthe_track_map.svg (track image with corner names, very helpful for cops too)

Procedure

The street racer will park at the "Restaurant - Bar" facing the right direction. Everyone else, the cops, will find places to park their cars, set up road blocks, speed traps, etc. to try and stop the street racer. Once everyone's ready the street racer will start to drive. One cop must be with the street racer at the start. All the cops must try and ram the street racer. When the street racer's speedometer goes below 5 miles per hour, the street racer is busted. The only two ways for the street racer to evade the cops is to either have the cops completely lose sight of the street racer or have the street racer reach the Porsche Curves.
If you read this far into the rules, please say no when asked if you have read the rules!

Cars

The street racer may drive any street legal car (no RMs, TCs, or race cars). It also must not be a hybrid. It's only allowed if only the looks of the car is modified (no wing, no bumper, etc.).
The cops may drive any street legal car (no RMs, TCs, or race cars). Only 2 people will be allowed to drive a SUV (RS6 Avant, Range Rover Concept, etc.).

*Because this is a new mode, they'll be many updates for it.

TRACK DAYS

Track days is when a race track is open for anyone to drive on. Everyone will try and post the fastest lap (all the fastest laps will be posted here). Members of the club may drive any car (except x2010/x2011). Non-members may not drive race cars. When a faster car approaches you, you must slow down and pull to the outside (depending on the track, it could either be the left or right. The side to pull to will be posted in the chat). Please yield to faster cars!

Cheap Car Challenge [POST PONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE]
idea by Gotbeefboy564

Every time I post a Cheap Car Challenge, you are allowed to use 20,000 credits to buy a car in the used car dealership that fit the parameters of what I've posted. Some of these parameters may include:

Coupes, sedans, American, British, Japanese, German, AWD/4WD, RWD, FWD, etc.

Once purchased you may not modify your car in any possible way. This includes changing the color, rims, OIL CHANGE, performance upgrades, etc. On the deadline, that is included in the post, we will have a competition seeing who has purchased that best car for 20,000 credits. Some challenges will be:

0 - 100 - 0, lapping specific tracks, and more.

*This is a work Work In Progress, changes will be made

Here's a spreadsheet made by Ameer67 of all the winners so far:

Congratulations on the new club, CarX!

I'm still awaiting for the application to be complete to join.

One question:
Track Days?

Same, good format, bit complex imo (maybe simplify speedlimits), but a good foundation at least.

I'll look for the application this weekend sometime, I was thinking of holding a DB-members only 'Cars N Coffee' this week for ex-members as a sort of fairwell/get-together, but maybe you'd like to use that idea to start this club off instead ?

The Application added tomorrow at around 5:00PM EST

That would be a great idea to start off the club! I'll decide a time once we start to get members in.

It's great to see a new cruise club going to carry on the legacy of DBeav's club but unfortunately for me:

http://[domain blocked due to malware]/instances/250x250/33131127.jpg

With GTA V taking over my priorities currently, even before Online unlocks, I'm practically done with cruising on GT5 until GT6 comes out in December.

Couple that to the fact that I'll be competing in my first ever GTP racing series next week in the Suzuki Swifts as well as the 12th season of Legend of the Streets and also that GT5 has been milked dry about 47 times.

I also feel that there's just something missing from this club that I can't quite grasp. DBeav's club had that something which is why it felt quite special.

I do wish this new club success and hopefully see future endeavors in GT6.

Good luck and Godspeed.

I'll be sending in an application when possible.

I found it entertaining that after stating to use proper grammar, he makes a grammar mistake.
