Was driving down the street the other day, and noticed a guy with a huge stuffed monkey and a red rose hanging from his rear view mirror and questioned why anyone would hang something so large in front of their field of view. I always thought that if your going to hang something, that you should keep it small and tidy, much like your sig. :sly:

I have small string with a 3" glass mushroom filled with green powder that glows in black light (no black lights in my car, but i'm always ready for a rave  ) along with 2 small glass blown beads, about an inch tall, hanging off the string as well, one with a purple mushroom inside, and the other thats a swirl, both blown by my friend who blows glass bongs and pipes for head shops around here.

<--They're so small, you can't even see them in the picture.

So i'm asking, whats hanging from your rear view mirror?

Nothing. The mirror itself is annoying when you're trying to see round a downhill corner without something else flapping around to distract me and reduce vision even further.

It's dumb imo. My sister's both had puka shells and other stuff that obstructed their vision. I think it's against the law here, maybe not but still it's dangerous.

After I graduated from high school I used to hang my tassel from the mirror.
Now I dont have anything hanging from my rear view mirror in any of my vehicles. Just blocks my view.

My step brother has had his rear view mirror removed - even though apparantly its a legal requirement, its a bit pointless in a car with no rear window!

Whats your brother drive?
My friend removed his, but he also installed 6 12" subs in his backseat, so it would be pointless anyways.

My parking pass. Surprisingly, it doesn't bother me at all. I also have a logo, just like my avatar, right above the rearview mirror on the windshield.

My parking permit. I hate having it there (and I think it’s illegal in California to have anything hanging from your mirror while the vehicle is in motion), but I’ve forgotten to hang it up several times, and have been fined once because of that, so I just leave it up all the time now.

Nothing.

I saw a guy with a thong (g-string for you fellas down under) hanging from his mirror, last summer... I've been tempted to put some huuuuuuuuuuuge granny panties on mine, ever since.

Nothing. I agree with the complaints about limited visibility with the mirror itself, though that doesn't apply to my car, it applies to my parents' Blazer.

Nothing, I never hang anything from my mirrors. People here have received fines for having one of those scented trees hanging from their mirror (thats very rare though).

He's got an Exige:

It came with a rear view mirror originally, the standard Exige does have some rearwards vision, but since it was totally useless in his version he asked them to remove it when he took it back for a service.

^Mm... Exige...

Same here... I hate having something swinging around while I'm taking corners, as well...

Ditto. I hate crap hanging from the mirror. My wife used to work with a woman who had a small faceted crystal ball on fishing line hanging from the mirror. Not only did it send glittery light all over you while you were trying to drive, but it swung into the windshield every time she braked hard, so she would take one hand off the wheel to hold it every single time she came to a stop.

LMAO !! That is THE funniest (sp?) thing I've heard in a LONG while.....Oh my God, how could she be so.......you know what I mean.....it's so funny so that it's not even funny anymore :lol: Hope she will NOT cause a huge highway pile-up just so that the ball won't get smacked into the windshield :scared:👍
