Well, Christmas for me this year is going to be about family. Simply because I'm skint.

I bought my first property this year & spent around £7000 decorating, new sofas, TV, Xbox 360, Home Cinema. I have everything I really need. My family aren't massive spenders at Christmas anyway.

I've agreed with my Mrs that we're not spending anymore than £20 each on eachother. I think we'll wait till the New Years sales & buy what we need then.

Probably makes me sound like Scrooge but buying your 1st property is an expensive business.

Amen to that. A new house has to be your Christmas gift to yourself and your missus and vice versa for years to come 👎

Having said that, i'm going halfs with MrsCracker on a new helmet for me this year.

I'll be just asking some money like usually, I've never asked such huge gifts with Christmas actually.

Hoping I'll be passing by a Canon EOS 400D as well, got the money, but if I buy it, all my money from the summer is gone which took me over 100 hours to earn it.

Oh well, we'll see. The only thing I usually ask for is snow, since I've never had a white Christmas in my live before, so that gets onto my list as well but it'll probably won't come since we're travelling to Belgium next week :grumpy:

Other then that, I hope my dad won't make dumb jokes anymore. Usually, he jokes around by saying "I hope I'll get some love from my family"

Typically us :D

What happened to your old helmet?

I asked for an Xbox 360. I kinda feel like I'm getting too old to ask for an expensive toy for Christmas, but screw it, I really want one.
Says who? WHat is too old? I mean, my wife wanted that $300 mixer, so I am fully justified in asking for an over-priced gift.

My list:
Nintendo Wii (doesn't look like it's going to happen until after XMas)
Wiimote
Nunchuck
Madden 07 for Wii
Marvel Ultimate Alliance on Wii
DFP

Last night my dad actually called and asked me if the universal steering wheel he saw would work, because it said it worked on PS1, PS2 XBox, and GameCube. How about, NO! You know, I wouldn't list a specific brand and model if any would do. Plus I gave them a few Web sites knowing it was hard to find in stores. I got a generic PS2 controller a few years back and it wasn't analog. I don't use generics unless I know it works first.

On the bright side, at least he asked first.

Well i know what im getting for Christmas,

I spoke to my mum and and said id like a Nintendo DS as it would a fun thing to have when i go fishing, helps pass the time while your waiting for a bite. I asked for a DS because i didnt really want to take liberties, especially when my parents are buying pretty much everything for my younger bro's house.

Whatever else i get is a bonus, probably end up with eleventy million parts of socks and underwear.

I did originally ask them to buy me a VW Corrado VR6 but i was met with unimpressed faces so promptly opted for the Nintendo DS.

Spec....

I would want a new tv, because know i have to play on a tv that's older them me, the color has a pink shade, the screen is to dark and i have to attach my pc speakers directly to the ps2 to have good sound.

A projector would also be just fine :)

I have the psp and its quite a niftey little device. but I dont know about the ftb2. I had the 1st one and the controls sucked hard. Dont get me wrong (I am the biggest socom fan ever) but the controls dont give the game justice.
On the other hand Combined assult rocks. I have had all the Socoms for the ps2 when they first came out and they keep getting better and better, combined assult is no acception.

my socom online name is NukeFrance ... hit me up:sly:

I mainly want it for the crosstalk. Does it work with CA?

Also I want to add:

Medal Of Honor Heroes - PSP.

From,
Chris.
P.S. My online name is WallRunner.

oh yeah baby...power tools! This also a big deal because as a reward for finishing the remodel of my basement, I will be buying myself a PS3. A tool like this will help get my job done quicker.

A healthy newborn baby. (Check...so far)
A week off from work. (Check)

I've got everything else I want, so far. I promise to be more selfish next year.

Sony Playstation 3
ridge racer 7 or 8 what was it.
and last but not least
Resistance Fall Of Man
and lastly GTP Premium...:nervous:

Aim big. You're bound to hit something.

If I was going to be completely unrealistic, I'd want a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Other than that, I'd be happy with his CF staying just like it is right now.

Would wanting my in-laws to move away put me on the naughty list?

Meh, you're lucky to pay only 1 million for a small one story house around here. :grumpy:

Oh, and for the Christmas list:
1. New bass and amp.
2. New longboard.
3. Some money.
4. CDs.
5. Maybe a new surfboard too, mine's getting old...

 And to think I was complaining about the four-bedroom up the road from me going for $185,000. At least this explains some of the debt figures I hear.

Danoff, are you sure you don't want to come to Kentucky?

 And to think I was complaining about the four-bedroom up the road from me going for $185,000.
Completely off topic - we just received the appraisal for our house yesterday: 3.5 years old + 4 bedroom + 2 bath = $210,000.

Not in my book. :)
I think you know what I really want then.

I heard houses were a lot cheaper in the south than up here...👎

Ciao!

I heard that houses in the north are cheaper than down here, because a lot of people from the north are moving here.

From,
Chris.

Yea that's $1 mil around here... in a bad school district. You want a good school district? Try $1.5mil. $185k is a down payment out here.

Anyway no I don't want to move to Kentucky because there are no space-related jobs in Kentucky that I know of. If there were, I would so move to Kentucky.

In the meantime, I'm focused. I just need to save up... alot..... for like... 50 years.... or something.

-Master Replicas Obi-Wan Kenobi Ep III Force FX Light Saber
-Some warmer socks than the ones I'm wearing now
-A weekend away from the kids with my wife. Doesn't even matter where.
-2007 BMW Z4 3.0si at 2 grand below invoice and a Performance Center Delivery in South Carolina

Somehow I think the Z4 will have to wait til the spring.

You heard right.

The Northeast in general has stupidly high housing prices. We just moved to Jersey over the summer and the prices we're seeing on even the most basic 2 bed townhouse in a decent neighborhood would buy you a 4+ bedroom single unit with a big backyard and lots of acreage in most areas of the South.

But not, as someone else already pointed out, in South Florida. Or even the nice parts of Central Florida.

Upper Midwest is where it's at, gents.

Provided you don't mind frigid temps and the bad drivers that go with it.

This maybe sounds a little corny but with being sick and all, a good health.

Housing market's taking a downswing, though - prices are a little more reasonable than they were a couple of years ago.

185 for a four bedroom, FK??? Unbelievable. It's crazy cheap in the south.

Guitar Hero 2

For those of you wanting things for others, I fervently hope you get what you want.

The wife and I set a budget this year, so I'm getting her a Canon Digital IXUS 850 IS. I'm getting a Manfrotto tripod and a WACOM graphics tablet.

Other than that, it's CDs and books really.

Just wanting a happy 2007 more than anything else. And if we could get through it with no members of the family dying, that would be good.
