You could add your 20 with mine to buy me a bottle of Jack Daniels and I'd even let you hang around to see it do me some good.:)

Now that would be interesting to say the least. :D

A used video game is a good option

A go kart track near me has 3 hours unlimited for $20 twice a week, always a good bet. Although demand is usually so high you're only on the track for half that. If you've paid the $100 registration fee they used to have a league for $20/race, not sure if it's gone up.

You could also rent like 5 movies. Or 4 movies and some food.

Buy Gran Turismo 4. That's what I did, and I'm sure Wolfe is about to flame me for getting a new GT4 CD. :nervous:

I was thinking along the same lines, that's pretty good bang for the buck. Then I got to thinking, add in the S-video/component cables, DFP, Max Drive, a stack of memory cards, a second PS2 (and another copy of GT4) so I could B-spec enduros while still playing, hmm, not so cheap after all.

two shots of Sailor Jerry with a good friend at a bar, leaving a tip and then having your friend pick up the rest of the tab

I actually invest $20 or more every night I work buying customers shots and it pays back in the end. . .

A good book

Woody's Burger bar in Hartford you can get a double hamburger, a local legend hot dog, play some Guitar Hero 2 and a good beer for under $20 including tip. . . : )

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned investing the money in penny-stocks, and potentially having your money grow big time.

Kind of boring, but some people find it exciting.

Out of interest how do you spend $20 DWA?

Hell, there was a bunch of 360 games I got for $25 at one time or another... one day I had to get a $25 gift, then I had to get $25 bottle of alcohol for a party, and $25 for a pump for my bike... that kind of stuff.

...I'm trying to think of more ways to blow $20, but they're pretty much all food-related.

No. I'm just wondering how you managed to get a CD version of a game that was originally released on a dual-layer DVD.

Buy a General Admission Ticket to the Indianapolis 500... Gas... food... a game maybe.. rent some movies... me out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse or O'Charley's here in Indianapolis.... Golf sounds fun... ---- Randy

What would i do with £20 ? In my case i'd buy 2 blocks of cheese from the local Tesco. Then call Dominos Pizza and order a Cheese Pizza. Or i'd buy The Sims 2 Pets expansion pack from Tesco (it's about £19.00).

P.S. I mention cheese a lot in my post because i just love Cheese for some reason. :nervous:

:odd: Ok.... Do you have a desire to move to Wisconsin by any chance?

Or you could donate that money to the "Getting Duck to stop posting foundation." :D

If you lived in England 10 pounds goes a long way towards good food. Seriously, you Brits don't know how good you have it. I'd kill an infant to get a Pret à Manger or a Tesco Express here.

I went by a Coles today and they had a table of hardcover books for $2 a piece. There were some good titles in there too.

The best place to put $20 is in the market. But since you're looking for entertainment I'd have to say that videogames have a high rate of return when it comes to entertainment.

Diablo II cost me $40, and I played that game for years - hundreds of hours of entertainment... maybe thousands. But that depends upon having existing equipment - computer, internet, power, etc. I'm sure such a game would cost $20 at this point.

Books are also a good return on investment. For $20 you could pick up several books which would take you hours to read.

Instead of quantity of entertainment you could go for quality and buy a ticket to a theme park. They've got some very entertaining rides.... of course you can't eat AND ride at a theme park for $20.

I'd go down to my local Liquor Barn and buy the Spaten Premium Lager mini-keg (5L) for $18.

Where is the $20/ticket amusement park you speak of? I haven't paid less than $25 in years, of course I'm not happy with just any collection of rides.

And as for food; just eat a healthy, filling breakfast before you go and rely on the water fountains for hydration. This does not work when kids are involved.

Yeah I can get 2.5kg OF Cadbury's dairymilk caramel for a 10pound from the Tesco's express outside my school

Funny this thread was brought up because I have a $25.00 gift certificate for Circuit City and have no idea what to spend it on. I have had it for over a week. Hmmm what to get? I already have 2 copies of Forza 2 paid off by trading games in. And I have one copy of Dirt already paid off. And $30.00 put toward another copy of Dirt. But those are all at EB games. I need something from Circuit City.
