What's the best way to clean an HDTV screen?

There are some smudges on the screen and I'd like to clean them without making it worse or adding anything permanent. It's got a matte like finish on it, not glossy if that makes sense or matters. I tried a lightly damp paper towel but that did nothing. Should I do the same but dampen it with rubbing alcohol instead of water?

Microfiber cloth.

NEVER use Windex on plastic, stick with a little bit of water is the spot doesn't come off dry.

Not sure. I've only ever heard Windex is off limits because of the ammonia which will mar the finish. Great on glass, terrible on plastic.

If Windex is bad I'd assume 409 is too. I'll at their ingredients to see if they have rubbing alcohol in them. I'll start with the cloth, thanks again

409 worked perfectly. Rubbing alcohol was useless 👍

Alcohol, drop of dish soap and water I use for cleaning visors, glasses and screens. 50/50 on the alcohol to water and use it in a spray bottle.

Hot breath & micro fibre cloth, might have to breath & wipe on the area a couple of times but do it gently.

Distilled water and white vinegar. 50/50 mix. Works perfect. Use distilled water not tap water. Also micro fiber cloth.
