Been doing a bit of trading and reading through the trades here and i'm wondering what is so important about zero mile cars ? i can understand not wanting Mars and back miles but what's wrong with a few miles on the clock? Just asking out of curiosity :)

I think it's just in case you want to trade it again - I, for example, don't even take a seat in most cars, so that the record says "0 miles, 0 changes". :)

i think people just like it because the car is fresher.. if you want to drive it i mean... for instance the two 908s i have.. one i got fresh... the other has 4000 miles and a shot chassis... so theres that aspect too..

but with a engine and chassis ovehaul, is there any difference? I could care less either way, but have had trades passed up on because of a few miles. To each their own I spose.

They're not racers is the only explanation I can think of. The 0 Mile people that is, they're like model collectors, rather than racers. Reality is, if your going to race the cars, they're going to clock up miles.

This freshness supposedly making cars faster is ridiculous, or I haven't seen any evidence of it, and I do a great deal of online racing, and have an extensive garage, and doubles of cars, some zero miles, some lots of miles, I can't detect a difference in them. I sure people will insist there is a difference, but then again some people believe in little green men in ufo's.

Couldnt of said it better, 0 mile cars mean jack..

This is a racing game, drive your cars 💡

If you are that pedantic, give your baby an overhaul.

👍

Cheers guys, good explanations - especially the one about not being racers, they're collectors! From now on i'm always going to view the zero mile cars as Mint In Sealed Box, haha ! Reminds me of James Mays Top Toys where he went to an auction and bought a MISB Hornby train set and immediatly threw the box away and played with it - good man!

I dont mind miles, just dont want to trade with cars with engine or weight mods.. Or painted!

The only real difference is 0 miles + oil change will have more HP (~.003%) compared to a freshly rebuilt car with mileage.

Considering cars lose ~2% of their max hp every 10,000 miles, it's kind of a moot point.

I remember having 2 of every car in GT2, GT3 and GT4. A driver and a zero miler. It never did squat for me. It won't in this one either. With the mass dupe it's not like anyone is going to be in awe of a 0 mile garage anyways.

You can can get better trades with 0 mile stuff and it only has value for collectors. I drive my cars, but keep some zero mile cars specially for trading.
