2 crown-jewel endurance events? So that's Daytona as well as Sebring Lake Jackson? Or the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta?

I think that confirms what the GTP part of the Q4 2026 endurance pack will be.
Good spot

I'm really excited for this game! It seems like a godsend for someone like me who's looking for a motorsports-focused game. Now, I just hope it runs smoothly enough on console; I don't have a gaming PC, and Assetto Corsa Competizione on PlayStation 4 was pretty disappointing in terms of fluidity, or even embarrassing.

“The collaboration brings with it many of the US's greatest racing series past and present” this statement intrigues me the most but have no idea what it actually means 😂
It means the IMSA series. IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and its support series, Michelin Pilot Challenge, IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, Porsche Carrera Cup North America, Ferrari Challenge North America, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Mazda MX-5 Cup and Mustang Challenge.
Past series include GTO and GTU cars. IMSA GTP Group C. A bunch more. Been going on for a while now.

Yeah i get that but i mean we still don’t actually know what this means in terms of content for the game

There was a MX-5 Cup in one of the trailers so that series may be the 10th launch class, and now officially licenced. Would make sense as a beginner/grass roots level event.

You can look at how AMS2 is going as they add pieces/series and cars/tracks from IMSA here and there.
They even have ALMS content coming which isn't really under IMSA so who knows what that means but it'll be good to have it.

I just had a look at the imsa bundle dlc, if pmr has anything like that level of content i’ll be very happy

Love the imsa. Hate the dropped psvr2 support. Will buy once i can get vr for this. Hopefully its sooner with psvr2 support, or a bit later once i get back into pc building in a few months.

Meh

Will Project Motor Racing Support VR headsets?

We plan to have VR support for Project Motor Racing on PC. We are working hard to get this ready for launch. Currently we have no plans to support VR on consoles.
PC it is.

Me and my brother’s favourite episode of Miami Vice.

Any chance of Homestead or Miami GP circuit being added to the game?

I remember that episode well. I hated to see Danny Sullivan's character crash at the end of the episode. It would be nice if they had Homestead

If the modding has a pipeline included, or tracks are straight forward in implementing to their process of how they work, I'm sure you'll see all the tracks you want and then some. However I'm cautious because of the True2Track that they just showed. Which is great to have. It's obviously their take on LiveTrack 3.0 from the Madness Engine. This as we can see from modding in AMS2 creates the issue of making these features work for tracks that were created outside of the Madness Engine. Hence only being able to port PC2 tracks to AMS2.

The hope is that if they want tracks to be mod-able, they won't be hidden behind hex editing or encrypted to a point in which you can't openly add these features. It wouldn't be as nice to just throw tracks into PMR while at the same time none of the "new technology" features work correctly.
Here's to hope!

Some more of it on a test display setup, maybe needing better set up.

I'm sure I read @LOGI_Rich mention somewhere that TrueForce wheels could have info sent to them to reduce the oscillation, but don't think I've felt it implemented by any title yet. The impression I got was so it would know it's on a straight and not to do that. Hopefully newer titles start using that so we don't have to up the dampener to sort it.

I know everyone jokes around about FoV Police and whatnot but that has to be one of the worst Frame of Views I've ever seen.
Just wow. There's no way to even judge what the car is doing when the front of the car reaches a corner 5 minutes before the cockpit does. The whole video with any opinions can probably be thrown out. I just clicked through enough to see that monstrosity and was out. 👎

Was on board with the hype train for awhile. Not sure now. Seems like they are maybe attempting to much again. Deviating to far from the original GTR Revival plan. With that being said would honestly buy-it with PC2 content and AMS2 physics. Was hopefully that it would be more transcending with long ago mentioned A.I. live realistic pit crew chief and or A.I. broadcast announcers. Want the best for this title. If it should miss the mark AMS2 is still there for me. Not sure if I will try any of the others for various reasons. Mainly because only have time to devote to one or maybe two race sims.

Yeah the hype is loosing momentum to be honest. I also was very interested in this title. But there are some bad news popping out when closing to release date.
Cancelled psvr2 support, relatively small content, some mixed bag first impressions and from „buying day one” it went to „will wait for complete edition with all dlc and patched”

I think here's only a small portion of people losing hype, personally I am still excited for this an look forward to seeing more info. Cancelled PSVR2 will upset some, but it also shouldn't be a surprise, mixed bag first impressions will always happen as the subset of people interested in this game will have a wide array of expectations.

I disagree with the content though, I think we have been spoiled with other titles having content counts in the hundreds. Ultimately, this isn't a Gran Turismo or a Forza Motorsport or a Need for Speed, it isn't even a sequel or continuation of Project CARS which is easily forgotten due to Ian Bells involvement.

PMR is more closely related to the GTR series, most notably GTR2 which is what gets talked about the most in the marketing and build up. It's focused on specific GT based motorsport, like ACC and GTR were/are, so it's never going to have hundreds of cars and circuits. Is the circuit content on the lighter side? Yeah, it is, but it will still ship with 4 more circuits (at least) than ACC did, and the same amount that GTR2 did. Not to mention almost triple the amount of cars both those games shipped with.

ACC launch:
24 cars
11 circuits

GTR2:
27 cars
15 circuits

ACC pretty much doubled it's content with DLC, another 14 circuits and 20 odd cars. PMR similarly is adding at least 30 cars via DLC and at least 4 circuits. Plus the 5 car pre-order bonus pack.

Glass half full perspective maybe, but to me, the content is absolutely fine.

Moving on from that, some more detail about True2Track here:

Dynamic & Adaptive

True2Track™ surfaces evolve over time as cars drive, rain falls, or rubber builds.
Surfaces use 1m square tiles, each subdivided into 7 cm x 7 cm sample points for efficient updates and localized detail.
Each surface type (e.g., tarmac, grass, drains) reacts accurately under varying conditions.
Fluid simulation allows puddles to form naturally, interacting with further rainfall, drying and evaporation.
Every tyre influences the track surface, altering grip levels, leaving marks and marbles (debris).
Track conditions carry from session to session, ensuring evolving racing conditions.
Balances detail and performance, even on large circuits, so that track states can run in real time.

Sounds immensely detailed and actually dynamic, if it truly is, this could be the GOAT of track evolution dynamics, particularly for us console users.

I’m still very much looking forward to this game. Yes it could do with a few more circuits but the modding aspect of the game could easily fix that and potentially keep this game going for a while. The biggest thing i need to see is how the good the ai is
