I see these commercials all the time. "When youre on the go, you need eSurance" Apparently its a website you go to to get auto insurance when you need it now? How does that work? I assume you answer a bunch of questions, get a quote, enter your credit card number, and an insurance card prints out? Are the rates actually competitive with say Geico, or Allstate etc? Someone enlighten me...

In short, eSurance is almost the same as every other insurance company. I think they're selling convenience.

They seem like an insurance company for the younger folks, online convenience and such. I actually use their website for insurance quotes quite often, they seem to be pretty accurate and certainly is the quickest site to go through.

My renewal with Geico was coming up, so I checked them out. I'm staying with Geico.

P.S. Geico's online account service is pretty impressive. If I want a insurance quote for a car I'm interested in, I can get that with my log-in, too.

Yeah. If you are uninsured and you get in a wreck, just go online and sign up and you are covered.
