What's the most exciting single player race you ever had?

Out of the few A-Spec races I've done so far, the Vitz race was the best. :)
This was quite good one. I enjoyed it

Is that the Supercar Challenge at Nurburgring? I just won that one with a GT-R Spec V. It wasn't hard but having a Ferrari California constantly 1 second behind had me slightly nervous.

PS. If you want to stop locking the brakes, turn down the brake strength to something like 4 or 3, front and rear.

There are 3 blind corners in a row and the AI always mess it up, it's great if you want an eventful race, constantly changing positions:lol:

Every race in extreme (almost) is exciting. Especially the dream car championship, my RM Corvette Z06, 815bhp, 1050kg vs Jag XJR9, 914bhp, 800kg. Wow, I won every race but the biggest win margin was 0.8 at Monza and Indy. It was a mere 0.4 at Tokyo, 0.3 at La Sarthe and the best race so far, after 3 laps of arm aching intense battling roung the 24h Nurburgring layout, 0.085, I was clenched going down to the line.

The intermediate amg challenge, i had to go back to get a gold in the whole lap version of the test. So i wasn't used to the car.

My last run got a 7.02 something, I was on the LIMIT the whole lap, sweating and overtaking cars left and right!!

And i unlocked Nurburgring 24hrs with changing time and weather!!

The Italian race at the Rome circuit in a Lancia Delata versus the AI Lancia Stratos.
That was one epic battle.

Et tu, Brutus? I concur, battling the stratos with a stock delta was good! Not quite as epic as taking the Supercar Nostalgia and Muscle car cups with a 380 hp but further stock '69 Z28. No weight reduction, no suspension mods, nothing, just a set of slicks. That Miura has some speed down the straight. :)

Believe it or not I think I would have to go with a race from GT4. I used a 49 Beetle it the Capri Rally with nothing but Nitrous added. I had the Nitrous set to full boost and used it to pass the other car as soon as possible and then blocked him every time he tried to pass. It seemed like those 2 laps took forever in that little POS but I managed to beat the Renault 5 turbo :)

Not a race but that X1 challegne really got my blood pumping.

I have to say the formula gran turismo event is the most fun I have had so far... its fast got to be accurate. Its frustrating but a real challenge for me at least.

Last night as it happens! ... on the Formula Gran Turismo at an overcast Suzuka (where I was joint 1st place in the championship with another driver at 350 points before starting the final race :p ) and was knocked off track on lap 1, turn 1 and after pitting and changing my tyres I was 59 secs down and took me 15 laps to chase them down and snatch 1st place back  sure was a tense half hour

Don't want to race it again anytime soon :p

Well so far I haven't had any "GT4 M34" moments, but I'm only at level 22, so maybe they're yet to come. Getting gold on some of the Nurburgring special events may prove to be a challenge, and I'm looking forward to the FGT and Vettel events. I finally went back and golded S-8 (the last S test I hadn't golded) which turned out to be easier than I had thought.

For now I'm just making my way through the game having fun, but when I go back for 100% I'm sure I'll have some epic races.

All the S-class license races were exciting for me. Glad to hear there are more races like that to be had within the A-spec events.

If anybody is reading this, what is the best way to select a competitive car to compete with for the A-spec events, yet at the same time ensure that your own car is not overpowered comparing to AI.

Lambo Countach in that historic race car race(deep forest).

2J all over me, passes on the left before the final left turn, hes not all the way to the right and can't hit the turn normally and I pull a wicked late apex, pass then block the whole straight for the win.

Same here, easily the most fun and challenging race so far. Drop the tranny down to 250, and you can punch it past them a lot easier with the acceleration.

This was not so much exciting as it was cool.

NFS PU. had a track where there were a couple of small hills and some cars would get some serious air where cars with lots of downforce stayed pretty much planted. I was racing a 944 against a GT1 and as we got to this hill the GT1 was in front and I was coming up fast from behind. He goes over the hill and gets about 6 inches of air. I come over right behind him and get about 8 feet of air literally jumped most of the way over him with my rear tires landing on the the hood of the GT1 and laid rubber across his hood. I saved the replay for ages.

To answer the question about competive races. Look at the typical opponents and pick a middle of the road car from there or the closest thing you have to it and if they are not race cars go with sport tires rather than race tires and you are likely to get a decent race.

Oh nice! I wouldn't mind giving that a try. I see there's a track share feature but I think I might have to be on your friend list to download the track.

Not exciting as in close racing, but the most fun I've had so far was the Lupo cup at Nurburgring - pretty much flat out all the way, hardly had to use the brakes and had a few "moments" on hilly parts. A really laugh to do...

Apart from the S Licenses, German Touring Championship at Nurburgring GPD with a Lexus ISF Racing Concept, with no Aids, R HARD its very close in pace to a AI driven M3 GTR, incredibly fun race.

I'll add you then, it's not that great a track mind you but those corners against AI drivers are pretty fun.

I had a brilliant race at the Nurburgring 24h layout in rain. Minolta, full wet tyres, No driver aids, 3 laps, 30 minutes of solid concentration, rarely over half throttle.

YES!!!!! This was awesome, I loved this race!

I had fun doing the Italian race at Rome in a Stratos. Smoked everybody but the other Stratos, but the duel of identical cars was pretty close, especially with the oversteering tendencies of the Stratos and all the assists turned off, making me have to corner just a bit more carefully in order to not spin out. Crossing the finish line, the other Stratos was only .500 behind me.
