Whats the point of the License Tests?

Whats the point of the License tests other than being a challenge? as now that the game has level up the tests have no meaning, ok i know im nutz cos ive already got 59 golds and 1 silver but...

Challenge and perfecting/teaching driving skills? Extra XP and prize cars? What's the point of the special events? Or A-Spec for that matter?

Well the xp you get in the licenses aint great, the licenses used to be solid as if you didnt pass em you couldnt race in specific events....

They're mostly there now to teach people how to control a car in certain situations and how a car behaves when put in a certain situation. If you don't actually care about any of this, maybe pick up a version of Need for Speed?

The XP is good if it is the very first thing you do in the game I think it is to help you get started

They're just extra content to teach driving technique and added challenge for gold now.

I prefer it this way, I really don't like unlocking portions of the game like that.

The purpose of the tests exist only to A: assist newcomers with learning the games physics B: Assist old veterans like myself with a refresher course and to help us learn any changes in drive physics.

Care? lol if i didnt care i would nt have 59 golds and 1 silver, gonna go get that last gold soon lol OK so its now test to hone skills and teach driving style etc

The License Tests is to teach the player driving techniques in certain scenarios when racing, like drafting to overtake opponents while on a straight route. Some lessons also offer practice sessions on learned & completed lessons. Several lessons chooses supposedly difficult tracks that can otherwise aid the player when they arrive to the corner/section outside of the License Tests. License Tests helps the player to handle high-performance vehicles in higher stages (e.g. IA License). License Tests also has some lessons that involve off-road that prepares the player on the situation & how to handle rally cars effectively.

I say take it back to previous versions of GT. You used to have to have a certain type of licence to drive the higher powered, more precise handling cars.
